  1. Reps can breed resentment, based upon a number of factors such as severity, precedence, and whether they're forced or not.  I will say that if I'm attacked by a raider and an alliance reimburses me my feelings about the matter are different than if reimbursement is not given.

Also, Guardian was notified that the stated reps were non-negotiable.  At least that is what I thought I read.  Correct me if VE was willing to negotiate the terms and conditions of the reps demanded.

    Aye I agree with you.

you are correct, terms were non-negotiable in any regards. In fact impero became angry when we even mentioned it.

Now to both of you, I'm not stating that I think Guardian should get away without paying something.... but I do think that both Guardian and VE should be willing to negotiate in good faith. Guardian is still very much Imperial Germany in 1918 compared to the Wehrmacht in 1945... down but not yet out.

Guardian acknowledged they did wrong, they are willing to come to the bargaining table, VE should acknowledge that and be willing to come down on the Reps they requested, if only a sign of good faith they to acknowledge that Guardian is willing to own their mistake.

However I am nothing more then a grunt myself who followed orders and am observing what the leaderships are doing and are of course, my own and personal opinions.

  2. My only comment on the Reps part is the thought back to Imperial Germany after WWI. They were made to pay reparations that crippled them and laid the groundwork for WWII. pushing the Reps WILL result in another war as ANY vindictive or revanchist leader of either Alliance will use them as a bat to beat it into their respective Alliances heads they need to rebuild and roll VE for forcing it on them to begin with and forcing them from the top lists as what were once premier alliances of the game.

Now that said I understand that Guardian/SK aren't on the verge of collapse like Imperial Germany was, and the Reps aren't completely crippling and designed to be as such. They are more symbolic, however any concessions, whether they are warranted or not by the victors, which VE will be no matter what at this point, will be resisted by any side that honestly believes they have done no wrong and don't deserve them forced on them.

If Guardian is willing to acknowledge their own fault in this Alliance, why not meet them half way and lower the Reps as they have shown humility and acknowledgement that they did in fact do something wrong.

  3. It would likely be easier to ask what the individual alliances are referring the wars as. The common name will likely be picked up by everyone else. VE might have a different name for it then UPN, Mensa, Guardian and SK might all refer to it as different things.

  4. is that a challenge.

Not to instigate... but yes... yes I believe it was

However in all seriousness, its all on economics now. How long can Guardian and SK maintain the economic game... and better question how often are their members being beiged. The more they get beiged, the longer the war can go on because it gives their members a chance for reprieve, plus the availability of slots as more members get beiged out makes a bottleneck making the numbers against them mean a lot less. I HOPE it'll be over today, or tomorrow... but realistically I'm not the leadership of SK and Guardian.. it ends when it ends.

  5. Thats the second time I've heard that in this thread, I'm glad I'm doing something right ;) and trust me so am I!

And THAT is irrefutable proof that Aliens believe in Hawaii first and foremost... We must all bow to the superiority of the Hawaiian people

  6. Idk... active spies I would think are in the field and more liable to get killed... but "inactive" or "reserve" spies to me sound like they would be in the home country and still be available for protection against attacks in the homeland... still its a much more viable option then simply having your entire intelligence agency wiped out and being defenceless for weeks

  7. I was just getting into my White Tiger Tank when we found out. I was in the midst of checking on the ammo when I heard some sort of commission out in the vehicle bay. I looked up to my gunner who was standing on top of the cupola who at first look confused, then shocked then all of a sudden excited. She looked down at me and said simply. "Its over... if ****ing OVER!!!" For a moment it confused me then she grinned and said. "The war your idiot! Its over we won!!" My eyes went shock and I scrambled out of the tank and looked around. Every engineer, tanker, soldier, absolutely everyone was going nuts and hollering. I looked at my gunner and in a moment of absolute euphoria took her in my arms and just kissed her. The moment last for a moment before we broke apart. I thought she was going to break my jaw. She just laughed and said. "Since we won, I'll let you buy me dinner"

  8. Dude, what is your obsession with evil stuff? I mean, Francisco Franco Bah, and Fascism. I mean, I know Fascism isn't evil, but if you think of the most famous fascist movement you think of !@#$ Germany, Italy under Mussolini, and Spain under Franco.

    Fascism shall overcome these ideologies.

If we want to argue about Fascism let's do it in another thread eh.

And for the record Hitler's Germany wasn't Fascism.. it was National Socialism... regardless another thread I'll gladly enter into this debate
