We aren't implying that either. Aargh did something that we didn't like so we used our military to show them that they shouldn't mess with us or our friends. Pretty simple, really.

We aren't "hypocritical."
We never said it was morally wrong to raid. We said that if you raid, there may be consequences. Aargh raided, they got consequences.
We raided you and now, as a consequence, you're looking at hitting us back. We're not complaining, therefore we're not hypocritical.
Seriously, is the entire member base of this game 14-17 year olds who aren't smart enough to make it into their high school AP classes?

If you put money into someone's account and you gained that money fraudulently (say, via theft in real life; parallel comparison here would be raiding) then it is against the law and a felony for the account holder to spend that money, even if they don't know whether or not whoever put it there acquired it illegally.
In other words: oh, hey, you're wrong.

The best answer ITT is whoever said that increased complexity should come not from the micro, single player level (this kind of discussion) but rather the macro, alliance-wide level (adding a map functionality, making wars be about land ownership so there is an actual POINT to war, etc).
The greatest downfall of PW is that war has no point aside from mashing pixels. Seriously, we shouldn't be patting each other on the back and saying "hey man, good fight" after every war.

You mean a strategy game forces you to make.... strategic choices? Na, screw that.
If you're active, maintain a small army and know you're able to strike back quickly.
If you're not, maintain a big army and hope it affords you enough time and bite the economic bullet.

To the DEIC guy (stetonic or w/e) who attempted to beat me and post-haste justified it like a pre-teen being turned down by the hottest girl in the 6th grade ("oh yeah man, I don't really care, she wasn't that hot"):
If it's 9:15 at night (mind you, not even right before a turn change like it should be!) you attack me while I'm on a conference call at work a week before a major project and I'm able to see the email, open P&W, login, AND get a ground before you do -- well, I clearly have nothing left to show you about war. You know it all.
I will say, though --
As the Prophet of Dioism, Him giving me advanced knowledge of your attack did have its benefits. I was lying in wait.

We have raiding rules. Vanguard didn't qualify for them -- normally they would have because of Aargh protecting them, but given that we were actively at war with Aargh, raiding Vanguard became okay. So we did. Because raiding is fun, makes us money, and such.
And yes, we didn't like that Aargh raided us and our friends, so we hit them.
Vanguard presumably doesn't like us raiding them, so they will hit us. We are all fine with that. You won't find a MENSA member complaining about it.
I'm really not sure what is so confusing about this entire thought process.
And we aren't trying to imply we're "good guys." We raided Vanguard and I would fully expect that they don't like that. We just don't care that they don't like it.
