  1. Seriously, all Sheepy had to do was add a possible benefit (e.g. conquering of land) to war and this game was solid.  He, in spite of himself, built a good community.

    Alas, away we go.

  2. So, basically, the argument for why it's been hard for you to rebuild is the exact same argument we were making during the war about why you were getting stomped so hard -- low infra, negative income, etc.

I guess it wasn't such a "narrow win" after all.

Also, I don't think you know what the word "capitulate" means in your post above.

  3. The funny thing is -- command economy would be the best in the long-run.  It's just being run poorly.

Thankfully Mensa has PhD economists to tell us what to do.  It's our version of a command economy -- listen to Kemal the Kebab and let the rest of the chips fall where they may.

  4. We have rough estimates on all bank figures. It's obvious that IQSphere cannot compete with us on a economic scale.

The only thing I can think of is that their leaders are literally trying to grind their alliances down on purpose before a few of them quit out of frustration and embarrassment.

    That's speculation though.

I'd be interested to see the relative difference between the two.  I mean, it's only a few, but the players I'm attacking have 300, 400, 700 infra maybe.  That's gotta be negative income with any degree of a military, right?

  5. I will have you know that MENSA is currently having a long running debate over lifting technique, dieting, and routines on our forums.

Do we even lift?  Pppft, MENSA both overthinks and at the same time under-thinks basic, banal life tasks like lifting.  It's what we were born to do.

  6. Yes, that is indeed what I'm saying.

Although it's always good for a laugh to see people still take her seriously. :D

You mean the VAUNTED "oops, my sibling" excuse has never been real?

My god, you're a schemer of the highest degree.

  7. It's worse to defend when at a perceived disadvantage than to attack. This principle has been applied by your side in the past. Only difference is you won  In case you didn't notice, the people that were willing to leave did so. Those who wanted to stay the course are with you.

Winning all the time does get old, so if you waited a bit longer, more might be willing to leave.

  8. I'm not sure how, as the attacking nation, you're allowed to be upset with the make-up of the alliances on each side.

If you're at a disadvantage, don't attack.  Use some FA skill to peel nations off.

I'll be really honest -- I only play any longer to keep coming back to these threads every 3-4 months where you guys whine when you lose.  It's even better when you whine despite inherent advantages.

MENSA is tight-knit because we've been playing together for a decade now.  That doesn't magically make our airstrikes stronger or any less obvious as to our tactics.  Nothing about this war was surprising except for how poorly you executed.

Basically, it comes down to: "I thought we were good, but then I learned, once again, that we are not."
