If the plan is specifically to pile on Syndicate initially to break their all planes strategy, then if that goes awry, it's going to affect the rest. I'm not really sure what sort of magic you were expecting. At the end of the day, everyone knows there's an activity disparity between the side, so we needed more things to go right initially than the other side. Trying to ground tS on the tarmac was the only option in lieu of not being able to preempt TKR. If you guys want to pat yourselves on the back for playing on easy mode, it's cool, but let's not pretend there was a massive advantage. We had the alliances that were willing to take risks and our side has its limitations.
Haha, playing on easy mode. You went into the war with a substantial advantage in score and a massive advantage in players. And you planned the attack, and had the first mover advantage (which in this game is massive). And now you say that our side is winning because we're playing on easy mode?

He's talking about TKR, not understanding the political considerations involved with that. Additionally, it doesn't really seem too evident to him that the point of the mass hit on tS was to disrupt their all planes strategy which got messed up by the server glitch, since the additional MAP was crucial which severely complicated the front and left them with clogged up defensive slots. If you plan an attack based on game mechanics being functional and they aren't, it will go badly.
The glitch is an excuse. If that was all it took to completely fumble your blitz, your planning was already shit tier.

Mensa withdraws its request that BK fulfill its treaty obligations.
-
Ha,you wait until they are neck deep in shit to tell them that they are terrible allies and you're ending the treaty.
huh, interesting timing for 'being the best allies we can possibly be'
I'd rethink that source of price you mentioned.
Hi Pinchy. They convinced their bloc to attack us, failed to respond to their defense obligation, and otherwise had come to disregard us as allies. But you have your opinion.

But SK was supposed to be Mensa's primary AA that left and hated eternally.
I demand a recount!
Don't worry, we'll never forget you guys!

As Curufinwe has been informed, Mensa has canceled its treaty with the Black Knights. Mensa has always, since our arrival, prided ourselves on being the best allies we can possibly be. We have always had high expectations of our allies as a result. The Black Knights recent leaders have not met those expectations, for reasons that I don't need to elaborate on here. We will observe the notice period, even though it is clear that the Black Knights leadership walked away from our alliance long ago.

I think Zoot's point is more that many of us in BK felt that the current concentration of power in the Syndi-OO bloc was unhealthy to the game, which in turn motivated us to try to alter the existing unipolar dynamic that had emerged, since following the defeat of TEst there wasn't really anything interesting left to do except stack pixels and roll the same old AAs every few months. However, we also recognized that any move in this direction could be perceived as a threat by people who were invested in the status quo, so we tried to take measures to ease those concerns. That's the reason, for example, that we offered TKR a successor treaty to OO, since we thought it might calm the fears on your side that change automatically translates into conflict. That's also the reason that we opted to retain our ties to tS and Mensa, refrained from building up when TKR and its allies did so following the signing of the NPO treaty and the formation of IQ and generally did our best to ease the paranoia regarding our intentions on your side (including the mutual decom offer I alluded to in another thread). Now, like Zoot, I realize that I'm not going to change your mind or sway you from the narrative that IQ is a grand conspiracy to knock TKR off its pedestal, but I think it's worth pointing out that your decision to treat us as an adversary has helped create a self fulfilling prophecy. Your paranoia fed our paranoia to the point where we felt we had no option but a preemptive war, since we figured you were coming for us in a few days anyways. Perhaps we were mistaken and your intentions were utterly benign, but it didn't look that way from the outside and that's what we based our decision on. In any case, the TLDR is that, yes, BK thinks unipolarity is unhealthy but, no, we didn't retain our treaties as a 'shield' to attack you - actively warring you guys didn't emerge as a serious option until we felt there was no other option but to do so.
With that in mind, feel free to resume your shitposting.
Nope, not buying it. You say you wanted to split so you could have more exciting wars, but then try to convince the rest of us that war wasn't your goal? How stupid do you think we really are? Who were you going to fight in this newly bipolar war if not your former allies? I guess you mean you wanted to retain the treaties as cover until you felt your bloc was consolidated enough that you could exercise initiative and attack us with advantage. That was obvious to everyone, I'm sorry if you think your plan was subtle and are surprised the rest of us saw through it.
Ok, so whatever - you got bored and decided to switch sides, and took the dick method of doing it. Fine, you built your nest.

Your 'totaling' tab has score gain/loss values that are I think way, way off.

My calculations were a little different, but same idea.

We thank you for your interest in BK and appreciate your call but unfortunately all of our agents are busy dealing with an infestation of roses and an inexplicable influx of Greek gods. Please hold the line and our agents will be happy to assist you when one becomes available.
I looked for appropriate call center memes, Knights holding a phone, whatever. But I came to realize that dank memes are not my thing.

That pole must have tasted really good since you mention or reference it pretty much every war.
Maybe just the last time he could find one in all of SK; you never offered any alternatives for Tuggy to tug at!

this is what it means to have allies. take note, those who are unclear.

Reports from the field indicate that BK participated in an attack on Rose. It's still unclear exactly what is happening, but so far it appears that Pantheon is defending their treaty partner from an aggressive invasion. I've asked my foreign affairs department to clarify for me whether our mutual defense treaty with Black Knights covers reactions to Black Knights aggression. If it turns out that it does, Mensa will immediately dedicate all resources that are free from defending our own members against attack to the defense of Black Knights.

wat. Let me put this in terms you might understand. MDP = Acquaintances. MDoAP = Friends. Bloc = BFFs. BFFs come before Friends, Friends come before Acquaintances.
Our BFF is at war with our Acquaintance. It doesn't matter who else it at war with them, because our BFF is fighting the Acquaintance, BK is not going to defend the Acquaintance as doing so would inherently make the Acquaintance better able to fight our BFF.
You obviously have a deep and meaningful grasp of foreign affairs on PnW. Keep enlightening us?

Mensa recognizes that it has been attacked by Zodiac and that Seven Kingdoms has also attempted a blitz.
We have activated our mutual defense treaty with the Black Knights in defense of Mensa against Seven Kingdoms.- 30

Possibly but again I am not sure how seriously you can take them. I'm sure most govs have joked about crazy ideas before, I know I have. Without a lot of context it is hard to tell, does Seeker often joke about crazy ideas or was this his only one? If he does it all the time on different allies then is it really a threat? Its not like we are exactly experts in what happens in VE's high gov chats.
After working with Seeker this is one thing I can confirm so far. He is full of shit most the time. I don't really have a motive to defend him, it doesn't really affect me whether he gets rolled or not.
That's mostly where I am coming from here and I feel like a few commentators here are talking it up so when the cb is landed in a few days they feel like it is justified. I imagine we'll get more info if that cb is ever handed down as Buorhann said they had more. I'm never ashamed to say I am wrong but I can only comment on what I have seen. Just trying to add a bit more discussion to this topic, people take this game in too much of a black and white way.
Really? 'Joking about crazy ideas'? How stupid do you think we are? I'm sure TVE's leaders are scrambling for excuses or who knows what strategies to try to snow Orbis into believing that they were just spitballing cockamamie scenarios. But no one over here in reality is believing any of that bullshit any time soon.
It's pretty funny how much you and Impero have to contort yourselves here, given your previous indignation over SK's plotting to do essentially the same thing to Rose. No one and nothing could give you a sufficient excuse back then.

It is always interesting to learn history
Also is this the same Impero ?? (I am not sure coz I am not here for that long)
"Such treachery has its own consequences" indeed. Although if I remember, Impero ate his bold prediction of victory in pretty short order.

Inquiring minds would like to know if the announced then suspended treaty is now suspended, announced, or about to be flushed down the memory hole.
-
Well the answer to that question is also no.
We'll just be taking your word on that then.

The war so far v2- updated stats
in Alliance Affairs
Posted
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CLq_ikPJNSG-fvmZFjLGsuuYv2YBfpHUOPjQAEYOTPg/edit?usp=sharing
Updated stats. Bottom line: the attackers have now lost 622k score, more than three times the defenders (at 200k).
The biggest loser on the IQ side remains SK, at 52% (although there are 7 alliances on that side who have lost more than 40%, with BK just behind at 39%). BK's loss is the largest in points, at over 110k.
The biggest loser on the tS/TKR/Pantheon etc. side is now Pantheon, at 26% (followed in order by Rose, TFP, Mensa and TKR).
Notably, two on the defensive side (Grumpy Old Bastards and Hogwarts) have seen score increases since the day the war kicked off. And the lightest damage by far among the Inquisition and its friends has been earned by New Pacific Order, suffering only 12% score loss. Draw your own conclusions from that statistic.
