  1. You're also forgetting the fact that you'd be exerting some sort of force and training(brainwashing) to get them to come over. No, it should be double if it is added. However, this is just a bad idea. So I would say no all around.

How is it a bad idea all around? Its one of those chaotic elements needed to factor risk and reward.  Its realistic.

  2. If we had to pay for it, I think it should cost less.  The spy was caught in enemy territory, therefore the benefit should go to the defender. I pay $50,000 for a spy as it is now.  I think it should be more like $20,000.

  3. Not sure if this has been suggested and I would comb the forums checking, but I'm short on time currently.

In the few wars I've been in recently, I've noticed that it's perfectly valid to buy up Barracks (or another Military Improvement), to increase your Daily Purchase Limit, buy the required Military Units and then sell off the Barracks again (and buy up Farms).

While a useful tactic, I think as it currently stands, it's broken. There should not be zero time between when an Improvement is built and when it affects your nation. Thinking about it on my recent plane flight, my suggestion is that any Improvements built during a turn, should not actually affect the nation until the start of the next turn.

This would mean that any Barracks built during a turn, would not increase your solider capacity until the next turn. Sure, you could build the Barracks just before a turn ends, but then any Farms (or other Improvements) built after destroying excess Barracks, would not give you Resources until the end of the turn after that.

Having just been rolled, I have a unique view on this. The game already favors attackers more than defenders.  I don't think this is fair.  Your suggestion isn't realistic and there are other factors of the game which negate the need of this suggestion.

  4. You can already do that.  A nation left alone buying 2 at a time each day would have no issues overcoming any other spy incursion given enough time.  This would serve three purposes.  It reinforces the importance of spies, it forces nations to really calculate how many spies they use, and it gives the ability for more than 2 spies to be obtained per day.  I'm not saying each spy needs to be kept, but maybe if 10 are captured, the defender keeps 2 kills 8.

  5. I'm not sure I like this.  Wars already last long enough and you can capture resources & cash along the way.  I could see huge nations occupying people forever, albeit in 5 day increments.  I see it driving more people away.

  6. I'd like to see captured spies being added to the defending nations total number of spies.  The message could easily be adjusted.  Seems to me that a captured agent could be Stockholmed and turned back on their former mother land.

  7. Instead of having a hidden drop down area which says

    "What are Alliance Taxes?

Alliances have the ability to tax member nations' incomes. Only resources and money that you produce more than you use per turn can be taxed. Your alliance's current monetary tax rate is: XX%, and the resource tax rate is: XX%. You lose XX% of your would-be cash income and XX% of your resource production which goes to your alliance bank. Your actual net revenues are shown below."

Can it be expanded to show the resources and cash with the actual amounts going to an alliance bank? Broken down into turn and day like everything else would be awesome too!

  8. I'm not sure what you hoped to accomplish with this,

Nothing but stating my opinion before the public, without the consent of my government, to satisfy a personal rage at his resignation being forced by external power mongers.  This war will be tossed onto the ash heap of history as Orbis takes leave of its senses.  I now take my leave of this thread.

  9. I haven't been playing this game long, however, in these few days I've come to see a thread of common traits in a large group of nations and by their direct affiliation alliances, which disturbs me greatly.  Realizing this is a game and that the actions we take have little effect on reality, I'm still disturbed by the sheer numbers which I see every day.  This feeling is magnified when I see almost complete callousness and acceptance of their actions as an event to be viewed as the local entertainment of the week by the general population.

An entire alliance ridiculed for the negligible actions of a single member.  Who was punished according to our laws and even stepped into the court of public opinion to be judged and offer anything that was needed to fix the rift.  Rational minds in leadership should have been able to resolve the situation.  Instead a throng of eight banded together and began to conspire in the darkness and maneuver their constituents in for the attack.  Hatred being spread like an incurable disease to each member.  Misinformation, deceit, and lust for power handed down the lines of nations who would form the front lines.  All for the sake of the petty malcontents who lead their respective alliances.

During this same time.  An alliance, with a foundation of water and sand, struggling to maintain itself under the weight of its members sees war on the horizon, but fails to realize they may be the sole focus.  Bitter disputes echo through the halls of debate.  Leaders buckle under the pressure to maintain some form of continuity and even in the midst one of them snaps and takes rash action.  Forced to recognize the sheer audacity of it all one man, one nation, one true leader takes the mantle of the GPA and places it on his shoulders.  As war erupts he assumes an even greater burden and leads his army to a doomed mission.  They are outnumbered but still they continue on in the spirit of the GPA.

Now I've come to realize that the Coalition has decided that it wants to play internal politics not just in its own alliance but also in GPA as well.  They have forced Grillick to resign his post at the earliest convenience.  This is a despicable act.  You are the ones who tried to creep up on us in the dark and knife us in the back.  The only grace we had was one person who took the role as an angle of mercy and allowed us to prepare.  Grillick even came to you and tried to negotiate peace before you committed a single nation to battle.  Grillick was the one who continued to reign some of our members in from a preemptive attack.  He kept us true to the very spirit that binds us together.  Hard neutrality even in the face of destruction.

You have caused the annihilation of hundreds of improvements, thousands of levels of infrastructure, tens of thousands of tanks and planes, and several hundred thousand (if not million) soldiers all in a few days time.  There was no valid reason behind this attack.  The sited issues are long since passed.  Any attempt to resolve the issue was turned away.  Making matters worse, they were simple matters that most civilized people can fix over a good meal or short IRC talk. Now you come to us and require the man who kept us together to resign all of for the sake of your egos, blood lust, and duplicity.

All of this tells me the coalition isn't civilized.  Its run by a ragtag group of leaders without honor and I now know at least 8 alliances I would never join should the dark day I leave GPA ever come to fruition.

  10.

Green Protection Agency nations (and former nations) who wish to surrender, and are engaged against any combination of Seven Kingdoms, Guardian, or Terminus Est must meet the following terms.

    2) Decom all missiles, spies, ships, aircraft, and tanks.
    3) Embargo the Green Protection Agency
    4) Change nation color to pink.

You must also post your surrender as a reply to this thread. A simple “I surrender to the Coalition forces†will do.

If you break any of the terms of your surrender, it will become void and you will be subject to attack again. During your stay on the SoSPoW AA, you will be under coalition protection from outside raids.

These terms are for nations who are fighting SK, Guardian, and TEst. If you aren’t fighting any of these 3 alliances, see this thread .

For simplicity’s sake I have included a list of rulers these surrender terms applies to below. Note, this list is not necessarily all-inclusive.  If you’re unsure if you qualify for these terms, please contact Tenages.

Seven Kingdoms is the alliance with responsibility for handling surrenders. Should you have any questions at all, please contact Tenages or Solomon.

Addendum. These are not alliance peace terms. If you have questions about the status of alliance peace negotiations, please speak to your leaders.

You want me to surrender? Talk to my government.  I've sworn an oath and nothing you have or threaten will make me break it.

  11. I can definitely respect this, even though I'm actually facing you. The only thing I want to happen is for you to stop sending peace offers and actually, y'know, fight :)

My nation is under air and naval blockades. My tanks have been weakened, my ability to purchase the supplies I need cut off. I won't blindly attack for the sake of your ego or to increase my casualty rate. Defense is the logical choice. Peace is offered daily to all I'm in conflict with for I bear no ill will for any of you. Want to continue the aggression? Come at me bro.

  12. Honor is more than a notion. It's a foundation. Not to be confused with pride. It's a driving force which demands one to behave in a manner of higher class and dignity. It's the difference between standing toe to toe with an opponent and sucker punching him in the dark. It's the difference between squaring off 1:1 versus the current 7:1. It's the difference between attacking with an overwhelming superiority and standing your ground when there's is no hope in sight. Honor gives the strength to endure criticism, the temerity to acknowledge our faults, and the capacity to suffer the consequences of actions I took no part in. I strive to be alert, clean, honest, courageous, loyal, courteous, obedient, and spiritual in everything I do. I will honor my commitments, I will fight to the last man, and my measure of success at the end of this conflict will be far beyond anything you can comprehend.

  13. I'd like the ability to export alliance tax and manual bank transactions for analysis in excel.

When I attempt to copy and paste all it give me is an image.  A distorted image at that.  Could the pages be modified to enable exporting the table or possibly a search feature installed which would pull the data from the range we desire and downloaded into an excel type file?

Thanks in advance for the consideration of the idea and you have my utmost appreciation for this game and the work you do.
