I know a lot of you have motivations to dogpile on Mensa HQ on the forums for unfathomable reasons, but no one has been able to respond to my question satisfactorily:

The only pathetic thing here is that you are too immature to face the consequences of your attack on our alliance leader. Regardless of how you think the reparations issue should have been resolved, you shouldn't have attacked our alliance leader unless you wanted to initiate an alliance war.
You don't do ultimatum attacks against stronger alliances, bro. If you think you have been wronged, you carry it to the community so that it can be resolved peacefully. This is International Relations 101. Do not blame others for your diplomatic incompetence.

A consistent viewpoint with this would hold that the Socialist International would have been justified in declaring war on Mensa HQ after one of their members hit one of ours.... more than half a dozen times in less than a week.
Pfeiffer should have been thanking me for going and asking for reparations rather than having declared war, according to you.
Hereno, if you think SI would have been justified in declaring a war, having actually declared the war, why are you whining about it?
Your statement proves that you think you had a valid casus belli, and started the war using the casus belli. Now it is time to fight the alliance war you initiated.
If you lose a war you declared, you shouldn't come here and cry.

As Hereno is the alliance leader, you pay the reps to the bank. Regardless of if the member logs on and talks to you. You're paying the money either way, so I don't see the point in doing it Hereno's way. He should be able to decide where the reps are going.
But thank you for this war. #10 of my predictions is now crossed off the list. So meh.
I am not talking about whom to pay reparations to, or how the discussions for reparations should have proceeded. Hereno attacked our alliance leader because he didn't like the way the discussions were going. What were we supposed to do? Apologize and eat his attack?
Try to make some sense.

If I could insure myself against all damage, I would disband my whole military, and then collect insurance payments. It is called the moral hazard problem. Hence, you would go bankrupt within days. That is, if you had any legitimate business to begin with. Who is to ensure you will pay for the damages? No one.

When Skynet said the thread would be unlocked when Sheepy returns, there was an implied "from Peru" at the end of the sentence. Perhaps it could have been stated more expressly, but that's why the threads haven't been unlocked yet. Sheepy hasn't returned from Peru.
We want any discussion on the issue of changing rules to occur while Sheepy is present to see the discussion as it is happening, rather than coming back to a long, detailed thread that has likely gone off the rails into non-productive discussion.
This is important because a change in the rules needs to be the result of a conversation with the admin, not just a conversation in front of the admin.
That is a very reasonable reply and all I asked for. Thanks.

There are mods who are online right now. I have also reported the said moderator's post so that it is unlocked. The online moderators are not proceeding with the action. There is no reason I am aware of which requires the mod who locked a topic to be the one to unlock it.
