Food, glorious food. Did Alex design a realistic food system and how close does he get if so? Let's do the math.
I couldn't find a 'yes' or 'no' bottom line answer anywhere in there.
So... did he?

Without being in an alliance you do not understand how the game works for 99% of active players.Technically, if you're in Rose you don't understand how the game works for the 99% of active players who aren't in Rose. This is a compliment to Lucianus, and you BelgiumFury should consider yourself lucky.
Anyway, you don't own PnW. It is only up to Alex to decide if ideas are terrible. Many ideas he thinks are great we all think are terrible, and we all have to live with them. He might read this thread and go "Aha! Another terrible idea!" and start coding it tomorrow. Even as you read this, he is considering making Rewards Ads give you a free MAP, but you have to watch 3 of them while in the attack screen. He is also thinking of a national project that makes you get 1% extra commerce each time you refer a friend to PnW. You don't know. He might be thinking that.

Not sure. This one might just be a reroll. First there is this:
If Oke is never logged into again, I'd guess that this is just a reroll. Can't tell yet, but if it was just this I wouldn't even post; he might just be waiting until the 18th to delete the first country, such as if he did a trade.
But then this one pops up as well:
So it might be something or it still may just be a case of rerolling until he gets it right. . .

I suppose if the Last Logins never change for the other 2, then it is just a case of rerolling.

A bug? Or the miracle wonders ... of Atom?
Anyway, I apologize that you're going through this. I don't know if Stencil's account was hacked, if his boyfriend broke up with him or if he's suicidally ragequitting, but he was in Atom. This guy was a church Deacon, after all, and his actions reflect on me and all of us.

I have no reason to doubt this:
Do they need to be verified, or is that optional?
-
I'm not sure about this one; both nations are brand new so there's no real history to overlap yet. Please take a look.

i appreciate the effort but this would make wars too destructive. i think the -15 thing on beige is a good idea though, and noobs should be put into their own color. (noob nougat or something?)
What do you care? You spend all your time on beige. (And you know I have the screenshot to prove it!)
But I agree that this rework hasn't been thought through.

These are just random ideas to buff raiding. Some are good, most are terrible. They are just here for people to brainstorm.
1) Give attackers (or defenders) an option to surrender. Not truce. Surrender. (You attack a guy who has nothing on him, and his stuff is hidden in a bank. (Or he has no power, etc.) Why waste 48 hours on the guy?)
2) Create Generals, Admirals, etc, that can accrue 2xp points per battle.
3) Force it so you have to deploy troops to a certain battle before attacking. Or move them to a certain city when defending.
4) Add an option so that you can buy technology for your cities which will help raiding.
5) Add an option to espionage so that your spies can change the DefCon level of the defending nation, and throw them into chaos. Or at least change their military option, say from Fortress to Turtle.
These are my ideas which clearly are my own and don't come from any other games, obviously. They are just here for people to brainstorm!

Hmmm. There isn't much I can say beyond that. However, I can add that I am still in Atom two or three months later since I posted that, so I guess I've now been in it about 5 months. That is as solid a recommendation as I can make, since before Atom I tried a few other alliances for a week or two each. But Atom is great. For people who like to cooperate and coordinate, there is a place for you. For people who want to be independent kings, there is a place for you. For quiet people and for people who ramble all over Discord, there is a place for you. Morale is high, and most players remain active. Sadly, the $300 grand guy has moved on to TKR with his 8th nation, but I think everyone else is still there, and we continue to grow.
I put my own money where my mouth is, and so once I wrote this that post I realized I liked Atom enough to volunteer for it, so now I dabble a bit in IA and FA. (And coordinate with MA as needed.) Low Gov slots are always open for those who want to train and learn, so if this aspect interests you, then for this I also recommend Atom. Learn from the best, most seasoned Cardinals in the game!

Sardinia and Corsica are on YOUR block, selling their services/soul to the best pitch. I don't care for your spam mail, your generic and impersonal attempts to get me to select your alliance. If you think I'm just some regular newbie, think again. I've got style, unlike the rest of these beige fools. I played before, retaining 0 knowledge and not being a big enough deal for you to know who I am... But I'm the hottest free agent in town. So what's it gonna be?
Ah, looks like you've already chosen the $yndicate's Enterprise Academy. Well, good luck with your 96 hour interview! Welcome to Orbis!

Unique ID Search
You may use this page to check for nations with the same Unique ID. Remember, just because two nations are on the same network does not mean they are cheating or breaking the rules. We will allow multiple nations on the same network, so long as they are following the Game Rules. Nations can be considered cheating (and should be reported) if they're sending "sweetheart" bank withdrawals or trades (think buying 1 food at $1,000,000) for example. Please report any behavior you think might be cheating here: https://forum.politicsandwar.com/index.php?/forum/133-game-reports/.

No, the dictionary definition of "alliance" requires that there be at least two members involved. You are one boy alone.

What an interesting thread!
I really enjoy these OWF posts as I find them very illuminating. Sure, a thread like this is ostensibly a declaration of war but it also is an education in alliance politics and how many of the people in this game feel about each other.

Alright, I've been thinking. I've been thinking about the huge value that Orbis as a whole places on the split between In Character and Out of Character - especially after NPOLT. And what I've figured out is that this is an artificial dichotomy. There is no truely In Character experience that wholly separates itself from the person's Out Of Character political beliefs.
Would you really expect a non-leftist to join United Socialist Nations or Advanced Syndicalist Mechanics? Would you expect a non-Muslim to join United Ummah? Or would you expect someone who doesn't like capitalism even a little to join The Syndicate / The Enterprise, or The Company?
Let's even look outside alliances. When you created your nation, what did you go for? Me? I went for an anarchist commune because I am an anarcho-communist. While I am sure there are unicorns (there always are) who are, say, American Republicans who made a nation LARPing as a Neoliberal nation, that is almost certainly not the case for the vast majority of people playing Politics & War. It's a game where people tend to make themselves as a nation - and that includes their OOC politics.
"But when we mean OOC we mean how GOONS made people eat dog food!" Nope. No you don't, let's be real here. It's completely okay to discuss someone's political beliefs when you completely agree with them - but as soon as it's a disagreement, the cry about OOC is cried and all debate is closed down. Y'know the people who complain about new leftist alliances because "communism sucks"? It's certainly not because they hate communism in real life or something. [Although I will concede about the generic names, hence my specificity with reasoning.]
This false distinction between OOC and IC politics has gone on too long, and makes no rational sense upon further scrutiny. It is merely used as a weapon to shut off debates you don't like - and it is making actual political discussion a stigma outside your safe space - kinda a bad thing in a game called Politics & War.
TL;DR Your Orbis nation and alliance reflect your OOC politics. It is folly to say otherwise - this split between OOC and IC politics is completely artificial and useless.
This is complete nonsense. You completely misunderstand what people mean when they say "Don't take IC stuff personally in an OOC way." This isn't Nation States where there is an in-game United Nations and you get to debate policy and law; this is a wargame, and any politics is just flavoring here. Every nation has cities with the same 20 buildings; whether I role play as Democratic or Republican, if you attack me I'd better have some planes and tanks or stuff or I'm going to get beiged. We could both be Democrats, or Communists but if I'm in Alliance 1 and you're in Alliance 2, and they are at war then you are attacking me, end of story. If we're in the same alliance but I'm a Democrat and you're a Communist, I am still coming to your aid if you need a counter.
Now, some people do take IC stuff in an OOC way; maybe they got whomped on in a war, people were a !@#$ to them, and now they nurse a grudge. But that's nothing to do with politics and instead it is just the human need to go for a rematch or 'best 2 out of 3.' Play any war game long enough and you are going to accrue allies and enemies on the map, but most of these people still all go to the same Orbis radio shows and voice chats. No one plays a game like this for the wars or the politics: those who stay do stay because they like or are amused by the people they've met.
I can't tell if you're mean-spirited by nature or just deliberately misunderstanding stuff to be mean, but either way, cut the crap and grow up. I don't know you, but if people are telling you to differentiate between IC and OOC, they mean stop being a sore loser; it's nothing to do with politics or war.
Not sure on this one
