  3. Each Oil wells produce 9 tons per day. I have 1 well, so should be producing 9 tons per day.

    Oil Refinery Requires 3 tons per day. I have 3 refineries, so should be consuming 9 tons per day.

    you only have 1 oil well per city, your oil production is fine.

     

    Your have the EGR, so refineries consume 6 oil per day.

    Based on the above provided screenshots, something is amiss. Either Sheepy forgot to change some words, or he forgot to change some coding. In either situation, we have a bug over here. As you can see, my one oil well should be producing twice what it actually is.

    The Doctrine for a Healthy and Clean Environment

    ​(Resvernas' Environment Doctrine)

     

    Resvernas has a truly impressive transportation network: highways, bypasses, tunnels, monorails and hyperloops connecting the major areas. Every citizen can easily travel across the entire Kingdom, with incredible convenience. Our ecologically minded government has propelled personal transportation methods to be carbon neutral and waste neutral. Incredibly, many vehicles operate on everyday byproduct, with fossil fuel not even sold inside the borders.
     
    With the formation of the Iberian Pact for Security and Openness (IPSO), our nation will begin seeing vehicles that are ill-suited for our way of life. To this end, we still prohibit fossil fuel sales inside Resvernas, so we will be providing incredibly generous support to all other IPSO nations so that they may improve their economy and transportation capabilities. Moving towards a safer less congested future for our children is a top priority.
     
    The Kingdom of Resvernas hereby pledges at least £100 billion to each IPSO nation to achieve the goals of reformed transportation and elimination of fossil fuel consumption.
     
    In furtherance of this agenda to safeguard and preserve our world for future generations, the Kingdom of Resvernas declares the following doctrine: any nation, on any continent, that seeks to improve their environment and enact long lasting reforms aimed at eliminating their carbon emissions will receive support from the Kingdom of Resvernas through the Resvernan Climate Agency Organization, a government funded NGO with the single, noble purpose to reverse and heal the harmful progressions of climate change. Studies across many reputable nations have confirmed that a hostile climate leads to a litany of negative health effects. Improving the environment improves the health of the world.

    This is an unexpected and truly crass reaction. Instead of sending a fruit basket, you prepare lead.

     

    The Kingdom of The Evenstar does not appreciate this. We will acknowledge any buildup as an act of aggression, and will take appropriate measures.

    Based on the above, I should be generating 27 tons of oil, and then consuming all 27 tons of oil. Notice how I'm only generating half of that?

  12. So I moved my nation (in Africa) from Madigascar to Cueta (north Morocco, Strait of Gibraltar). Still in Europe.. or at least that's what I expected. I was wrong.

    Obviously I'm in Africa, but it's telling me I'm in Europe. I had to buy another location change so I could go back​ to Africa. Please reimburse the 2 credits I had to spend on a wasted trip. And also fix your map! I'm relocating further inside Morocco in the hopes this can be fixed. Will update if there are any problems.

    Lady Eleanora, Duchess of Chichester and Younger Duchess of Hightower married Count Daryl Flythe of Lindau in a private, intimate gathering. Also as for the name, Eleanora's father is a member of House Velaryon, whose head is the sovereign. Her last name is Velaryon. Her mother is the head of House Hightower, a position she herself will one day assume. Husband is Flythe, however is only a Count so in the order of precedence is rather low on the totem pole. Her civil name is Eleanora Flythe while her dynastic name is Eleanora Hightower de Velaryon. If you're lost, here's a family tree to help you.

  15. When I first saw this thread, it made me think that person was suggesting allowing alliances to sort of specialize. Since that wasn't the case, I wanted to suggest that. Here are a few ideas on how it could be implemented:

    "Corporate" alliance would see a reduction in costs for developing at the lower levels, but would also see an increase in pollution.
    "Ecological" alliance would double the benefits of having lower pollution/pop density and also double the penalties of having higher pollution/pop density.
    "Hippy" alliance could see increased population in cities (communes, anyone), at the cost of significantly higher military costs and a reduction in military caps.
    "Raider" alliance would see military costs reduced and their capabilities increased, but would also see population reduced.

    Alternatively, each of the above could unlock a special project in each nation that players would still have to build to receive those benefits. The only way to make this fair, I think, would be to implement a 30 day delay period between changes. So for example, as an alliance leader if I know I'm going into a war, then I might consider switching to Raider. If the war drags on for 30 days or more, then it was a smart move. If the war only lasts a week, I'm stuck for the remainder of that period in whatever specialization. Also, as an additional check, if you had the special project have to be built in individual nations, any time the alliance switched specialty, the project would be destroyed. This forces the alliance to really weigh the pros and cons, and also whether a change is the right choice. For my nation, I'm sitting on 9/8 improvements. If one of those was the special project, then even if I had the cash I couldn't replace it without first rebuilding even more.

  16. Tax groups are super easy to implement.

     

    1. Go in the table where the tax rate is set, and add two additional fields: tax2 and tax3.

    2. Go into the table where the nation is saved, and add one additional field: taxgroup

    3. Go into the revenue page code, and implement an IF statement. IF taxgroup = tax1, taxrate = tax1's rate. ELSEIF taxgroup = tax2, etc. etc.

    4. Since we know Sheepy loves making people spend their donation credits, charge alliances to unlock the additional tax rates. If you do this, proceed to step 5. If not, allow every alliance to define 3 tax rates, and proceed to step 6.

    5. Go into the table where the alliance is saved, and add a field called moretaxgroups. Alliances leader can buy up to two additional tax groups. For each additional tax group, increment that by +1.

    6. Create the front end. For that, you'll need to have a way for leaders to define the tax1, tax2, and tax3. You're pretty good at making tables though, so you got this Sheepy!

  17. Why not have the turns stay the same, but add a "bonus" turn for players under a certain number of days. Player retention is the hardest for newer players, right? Turns are only every two hours, so there's a whole additional hour that could be used to give newer players, maybe players under 30 days old, an extra "bonus" turn. Effectively doubling their potential for the first 30 days. As a check to that, I'd argue that the bonus turn should only be enabled if the nation is part of an alliance. After all, alliances foster community.
