Per our discussion on IRC, I'm taking out insurance for myself, and the CU is taking insurance for Kaide.

Maybe instead of this changing the mechanics too much, hospitals could simply reduce the overall casualty rates calculated in a particular attack without altering the win/loss calculation? So say I have 10k soldiers, 2 hospitals, and I lose the war. Again, for purposes of discussion, lets say my current casualties would be 2k. Yikes. Now since I have 2 hospitals, even though I've lost that war, maybe I get to save, I don't know, maybe an extra 10% of casualties per hospital, so 400 soldiers saved? I've still lost the war, but instead of ultimately having 2000 casualties, I only have 1600. That would greatly reduce the impact on gameplay while also allowing hospitals to be useful.

This is one of the dumbest things I've read on these forums. You're people roleplaying nations and alliances within the confines of a limited system designed, coded, and maintained by an outside person. Alliance sovereignty has literally nothing to do with Sheepy's ability and right to code or not code what the !@#$ ever he wants.
Exactly. If there was no taxation system, then either alliances would not automatically tax their members, or they would figure out off-site ways to do it. I'm in favor of the scaled taxation, but if we can't have it, I get it now that Sheepy pointed out that workaround.

Leaders can demote other leaders, so that's probably what happened.

This has already been suggested in another thread, and there were some good points made both for and against. I think there could be a balance, as a single buy and sell offer seemed to be too limiting, but maybe allowing up to three total buy/sell offers would strike the right balance?

So I've run into a new, well I guess it's a bug. It looks like refined resources are created BEFORE the raw resources are. I noticed that I must keep 2 units of coal and 2 units of iron on hand or I won't be able to refine it into steel. This doesn't really make sense to me, since the coal and iron is being mined before the steel is being created, right?

One of my members was commenting on how he make a load of resources, which I found weird since he hasn't been taxed any resources. I asked him what the rate was listed on his revenue and he told me it was at 0% for resources. I lowered the tax rate by 1% and then put it back to where it was, and now the tax rate is reflected on his revenue page. Is it possible that the tax rate is saved in each nation's database information? This issue only seems to be a problem for new members who have not been on the alliance during a tax rate change.

The new improvements are awesome. I would love two final additions to this though. Just like with your mailbox you can page through all messages and non-favorited ones expire after 30 days, could we get this sort of upgrade to be added to the announcements feature, so we can scroll through all the announcements made that haven't been replied to in the last 30 days, and the pinned announcements would stay at the top (just like on the forums...)

Okay so I just spawned $403 into the game. When I withdrew the 1 unit of food, it also withdrew $1 (from thin air), but did not deduct that $1 from the alliance bank. Upon noticing this, I withdrew a second unit of food to double check that it was in fact also adding $1.when withdrawing the 1 unit of food. FInally, to make sure that the money was not also being withdrawn from the bank, I withdrew a third unit of food, this time paying special attention to the balance before the withdrawal. Finally, I just withdrew exactly 400 food to see if it would spawn out of nothingness $1 or $400, and it did in fact create $400.
It looks like the cash is broken, but you also only get spawned cash from food (I tried withdrawing 1 unit each of coal and oil, with only getting the resources and not an additional $2.)
Edit: and for those of you smart folks who are thinking about abusing this, just a reminder that there are very convenient bank records that record everything.
Edit2: I just double checked and it looks like only withdrawals are screwed up, as deposits worked fine. Also I did deposit $1 of the illicit $403 into my alliance's bank just to verify. I'll probably have a revenue payment before you fix this so just take the $403 directly from my nation.

I was able to withdraw 1 food, but was not able to withdraw $1 when withdrawing to myself.

Actually this does bring up a good point. Could we maybe get a notes folder/box/page/whatever? I've taken to sending myself messages in-game when I want to remember something and then favoriting it, but that's really not all the useful when I have to scroll through thousands of messages.
