    To give him an opportunity to prove me and everyone else wrong. I offered to help guide him. Unfortunately he made it a whole 3 days before he literally tried to sell the alliance for money to keep himself and/or rob another player of 40m.

     

    You're right. A simple name change doesn't prove anything. Although changing the name, the government, along with building respect and diplomatic communications that have been hindered due to Henry are a start.

     

    Only time will tell if we can truly turn this ship around and build a respected community on Orbis.

    You realize he only agreed to have you "guide him" to troll you.  I bet he was laughing the whole time.  Sitting there in front of his computer, wearing a smoke jacket, saying to himself "I'm gonna do it again!"

    The spy system is already pretty gamey.  Meaning that spies really reward know-how more than sheer strength of numbers.  I would take 500 spies in the hands of people who knew what they were doing and in a proper spread for espionage attacks over 1000 spies in the hands of people who had never launched an op.  Every time.  Because the 500 would win, I assure you.

     

    I disagree with my friends that these changes make spies useless.  What they do is make them more of an arcane and elite weapon.  They make them even more gamey.  Now some gameyness is good because it punishes pay to win.  But I think this is too arcane and requires too much expertise.  Allow me to put it this way: After punching some numbers into your espionage simulator and toying around in excel, I have found a way to exploit these new formulas, without even knowing precisely what they are, to absolutely crush people who do not know how to run a similar exploitation.  The exploitation requires a great deal of know-how about the system, good timing and coordination, manpower, and spies (all things which new players, coincidentally, often lack).  I entreat you to suspend these changes and allow me to explain it to you.  Otherwise, I have the expertise, men, spies, and money to demonstrate my point very effectively.

    You could've easily shortened that post up and just stated, "I have a grudge against SK."

     

    Also, I could care less what you think about Mensa's relations with other alliances.  I'm sure our leadership will handle it on their own terms and without your advice ( Or I hope ).

     

    As for my personal opinion (NOTE TO ASHLAND THIS IS NOT THE OPINION OF MENSA JUST WANT TO MAKE THIS CLEAR, IS IT CLEAR ALL CAPS FOR EMPHASIS):

     

    I still like SK.  Things got screwy, sure, but whatever.  I appreciate a good "bad guy" role.  They live up to their theme they have established for their alliance ( The Game of Thrones bit ), and they're ambitious.

    Uh... I just think that their conduct has been appalling, they aren't pleasant people, and that the game would be better off if they weren't playing it.  So, yeah.  Pretty much.

    I find it strange that when SK/Guardian attempts to follow "protocol" with paper treaties, you guys decide to criticize them when it's canceled.

    Couple things:

     

    1: SK was criticized before, during, and after.

     

    2: Tenages is more than happy to pile on criticism in similar circumstances.  He's developed a reputation for it, in fact.  This is your first rodeo with Tenages.  It isn't ours.

     

    3: Pretending that this is being represented faithfully, which it is not, SK's diplomatic reputation has been completely ruined.  Can you really blame people for expecting this to be just another one of Tenages' underhanded bs moves?  After the crap he tried to pull not just once but TWICE now?  If SK lies to its allies, what's to stop them from lying ABOUT their alliances?

     

    SK is a sinking ship.  Mensa can get off or become fish food.  Leaping to their defense on the forums time and time again is very reminiscent of the behavior of an alliance that was very recently dragged down by SK's behavior.  They learned from that lesson.  You see, that's what this thread is.  How long will it take YOU to learn?

     

    I look forward to reading an SK-Mensa announcement thread.  Sooner rather than later, for your sake.

    Just... just to be clear, how did he get 26 mil in debt?  Because, like, did you count the taxes he paid against that?  It's not like he was in your alliance, taking your money and doing nothing.

     

    Also SRD has a huge misunderstanding of Non-Competes.  The biggest thing a non competitive clause says is that you can't take business with you to another company or a company you make.  That's the big sticking point.  Some of them throw in that you can't work a month after resigning from your current job.  If it's longer than a month or two, tops, if you're really high level, it gets thrown out of court like 90% of the time as being unenforceable.  And yes, you have to agree to it beforehand.

     

    And yes, poaching isn't a big deal.  People will go where they want.  Kastor tried to poach a couple people from BoC.  They didn't go.  We didn't give a crap.  I tried to poach someone from Titan.  They said no.  Ironically Kastor got a bit bent out of shape, but whatever.  BoC obviously doesn't want someone running off with debt, as was the issue here, but as long as we gave you the money a while ago we couldn't care less.  Like, we're not going to hold you to money we gave you 3 months ago or some !@#$.  But if you took out ten mil the day before leaving, yeah, that's not cool.

     

    At various times Rose, Guardian, CU (that was a while ago), and maybe a couple others have tried to poach me.  I didn't accept their offers (I was actually already in Rose when abbas tried to poach me to Rose the last time; awkward for everyone involved) but it wouldn't have been wrong if I did.

    Wait, what? You're going to try to use this current war as reasons why you shouldn't pay me what is owed to me? That shouldn't even be a factor in this.

     

    Last I heard, which was February 10th, 2015, you and VE had reached a settlement for MF's debt. Not once was I informed by VE or you that my funds were seized. In fact that same day Impero said that a settlement had been reached, and I inquired what my savings balance was due to your incomplete records, and you posted here saying that I had $669,117 available, not that my funds had been seized to recover a debt.

     

    You'll probably say that it's irrelevant that I deposited those funds when I was a member of GPA, and that MF is no longer a member of VE, but it seems that you're choosing to not pay me what is owed simply because you don't want to, not because my funds were actually seized, otherwise you would have told me in February that I had a $0 balance, and instead you posted saying I had $669,117.

    Mm no.  I'm not.  Send me the trade offer, though, and I'll send it to you.  I've given VE so much already, what's a little more? *eyeroll*  But if there were any justice VE would recompense me for the millions they screwed me out of by allowing MF to hide behind their skirts.  That's what this is about.

    My savings account information still was never added to the OP. If my calculations are correct, my $500k deposit should have compounded at least 24 times since I initially deposited it on December 8th, 2014. That means my balance should be around: $1,522,883.79.
     
    Is that correct?
     
    Once you calculate what I should have in my saving's account, I would like to formally close the account and have my balance mailed to me.
     

     

     

    The money in your account was taken as payment for Morgan Fraser's debt when said debtor joined VE, VE declared his debt invalid, and thumbed their nose at me. I told your leadership that that's what was happening, they said that that was fine and that they'd just reimburse you.  Figured they'd take care of it.

     

    It is all explained in our terms.  Cirrus reserves the right to confiscate the funds of any alliance or member of an alliance that harbors defaulted debtors and obstructs our ability to collect.  VE more or less screwed me out of ten mil.  Your account was a trinket compared to that.  This was some months ago.  If VE wants to pay me the ten mil that MF owed me (which would be less than I saved them in destroying Guardian's nukes alone, let alone the countless missiles whose destruction I personally funded) I will gladly reimburse you the amount of your account with interest taken into account.  But I can't break the policy for you without having to break it for everyone else.
