  1. There wasn't a situation that demanded you get a honest answer from Mensa, but I understand you wouldn't expect such a thing to begin with.

I might actually expect an honest answer from you, personally. From what I've seen you seem pretty cool.

  2. Ash, I assume you do not really want an honest answer but you can have one.

There are at least two ways you could have handled this.  You could have said: 'cool lets have fun' or you could have whined about spy changes (there is a thread just for that btw), had Estelle confident assert that you were winning/generally reply with 'I know you are but what am I' kindergarten type stuf, etc.

"Cool let's have fun." wasn't really a possibility with Apeman's attitude.  It was inherently bitter and vitriolic.

Estelle asserted that we are winning insofar as an alliance can win when someone goes apeshit on them with nukes.

I do want an honest answer, but I rarely expect them from Mensa particularly when they relate to BoC.

  3. Did this even need to be stated? Anyone with a minimal knowledge of math should be able to figure this out...

WHAT?! You don't have magical powers? -Why don't we have a proper crying smiley-

Clearly it did need to be stated based on the people in this thread somehow expecting us to pull a numeric victory out of our asses as opposed to simply performing optimally and considering that a victory.

  4. It's impossible to win against a rogue in the sense that a well prepared rogue will almost ALWAYS do more damage than he receives if for no other reason that he can spread his attacks out on more expensive infrastructure, but other reasons as well.

We're doing the best we can in a situation that can't really be a victory in the normal sense of the word just because of what it is.  I am perfectly willing to admit that we don't have magic powers.  Virtually any alliance in the game would face similar issues with a rogue.  Particularly given that, even by Apeman's own admission, he received a lot of benefit from the disastrous new spy changes.  If the spies hadn't been nerfed so ridiculously, we would have been able to minimize the damage to a much greater extent.  But that wasn't in the cards (thanks Sheepy).

What I would be worrying about if I were you guys is what you're going to do when you're in this situation.  Because, thanks to these changes a la Sheepy and the demonstration a la Apeman, it's clear that roguing has become way more viable because spying anyone with over 80 or spies is essentially impossible.

But, whatever.  It's 12 days' income.  And there may be a bit of butthurt coming from our direction, but nothing that even comes close to hanging onto a grudge for four months over a relatively small war with incredibly lenient war goals (we just wanted an apology), and where we peaced out BEFORE one complete round of war.  Apeman is literally butthurt over a war that lasted three !@#$ing days.  He has mental issues in a sense that I don't use casually.  But he's logging into his nation less and less frequently and when he does he sends us messages such as this:

    apeman.png

He clearly wasn't prepared to lose his nation over this and that's why he's hanging onto those nukes, presumably.  He knows he's not going to have any leverage once he fires them.  So he's keeping some.  The fact of the matter is that if you go rogue and you're not prepared to lose everything, as he clearly isn't, you've lost.  So in the sense that we can defeat a rogue, we have.

  5. You've destroyed twelve days' income with our relatively low tax rate. So yes you have set us back twelve days. Which isn't ideal. But it's also not game changing. And it certainly isn't "Wrecking" us. These things happen. I especially like how, as you've been running lower on nukes, you've been pming nations you are at war with to negotiate.

Also you just bear a grudge. We won't be able to do anything to satisfy you. And release mensa from its bonds? Is that a joke. Nobody forced either boc or mensa to sign that NAP. Plus it expires rather soon anyway.

  6. The way this game is designed I could have a missile ready nation in 40 days. We could all just disappear and restart, come back and do this all again in 50 days. Really the ease this happens allows you to never rest. We can keep coming, and coming, and coming. Instead of learning how to be such a loser that life long foes are developed, try learning to be gracious. Accept your actions, accept mine, and yeah declare already. Lord F I warn you, steps are being taken to coupe you and I won't look like such an enemy.

Yes, my brilliant plan to coup BoC during election season.  I have been found out.

  7. I feel like Apeman gives zero !@#$, Ashland...

I mean, he clearly doesn't.  Clearly someone in Ascension notified him.  It made him freak out.  He mentioned it.  And he tried to get them spared in negotiations.  So naw.  I think you're wrong.  I just want to play a game.

  8. I don't suspect cornerstone will be protecting Ascension during this althought I shouldn't speculate on the lords plan. It is for him to decide. Maybe they just picking the right time in honor of BoC's track record

Well, it's pretty obvious that Ascension was a bunch of former ESA guys helping a former ESA guy get revenge on someone that fought ESA.  Like, come on.

Just to be clear I'm still willing to negotiate peace for Mcpeacemode. Careful how you reply, his poor nation sits there defenceless!

We expressly said that we couldn't negotiate with you if you launched any nukes.  However, we can play a little game.  For each nuke you launch, one of your friends gets rolled for a number of months equal the number nuke you launched against us.  So, for example, you've launched three nukes.  You would choose one friend to get rolled for one month, one for two months, and so on.  To be clear you can pick the same crony more than once.  I.e. you could say nation A receives the 1 missile and the 3 missile to equal a total of 4 months of being rolled.

You have to give us your choices within 12 hours of launching the missiles or we will just pick one person each day and designate them for permanent rolling from here until the end of time until you give us your choices.  There are some rules:

1: One person cannot receive two or more CONSECUTIVE nuke designations.  So you couldn't give one person the one and the two.

2: If a person receives the designation for an odd numbered missile they must receive a designation of an even numbered missile before they receive another odd one and vice versa.

3: ONE person in ascension cannot receive more than one nuke designation.  So ONE person cannot receive two or more designations for rolling.  Only one.  And you can pick that person in the beginning or just pick them when you need to start doubling up.

In my game you can't win, but the only way to lose is not play.

And you can choose not to play (obviously, we can't make you), but the result will simply be that all of your friends will be perma rolled instead of only some of them being rolled for only a little bit.

  9. What to you expect? We found them sending sweetheart deals to a nuke rogue in preparation for the attack, and took action. That's not about butthurt so much as it is "actions have consequences."

They also had no military. Hurrdurr let's blatantly fund a rogue and not be prepared for reprisal.

  10. The only butthurt person here is Apeman, who apparently thought we were going to negotiate with terrorists. Enjoy your nukes because they're all you've got, and even they won't save you for long.

    Shirtless pics plz.

  11. It is kind of like playing Pokemon, you are just minding your own business kicking some school boy but and "!" Your rival comes out of no where and challenges you to a battle.

And you are just like, "!@#$, I didn't really feel like dealing with this right now".

    Made my day.

  12. I assure you we did not waste the money spying on you. And yeah. The price will be seventy mil rebuilding the cities to 1500 infra. And we'll have a tiny bit less infra than before. You set us back 12 days. Whoop de doo.

But I will more than recoup those losses by being personally involved in burning you AND your friends to the ground. You DO care about your nation as evidenced by trying to demand asylum in negotiations. We will knock you down and not allow you to get back up. Your friends can have fun down there as well. You will be out if the game. Nobody will care about you. Well even less than they already do. And we will still be here. And we will still be strong. We will still be better than you. We will still have fun. We will still have demolished ESA and we will relive that memory by torching these former Esa friends of yours who supported your rogue mission.

I hope you enjoyed your brief spotlight (during which people still didn't care about you) because your fade back into nothingness will come on fast.

  13. 170k citizens dead with every one hit. I'm a monster according to Sheepy! All BoC had to do was keep it's word instead of trying to duke me. No honor, I give them notice and again they attack in the middle of the night against a far weaker opponent! Big shocker

We haven't hit them yet, except to destroy one guy's planes. We were waiting on you. But I'm sure these people knew what they were getting into, supporting you in going nuclear rogue on us.

Now that you've nuked us we obviously won't be allowing you or your Co conspirators to go free.

  14. These demands seem reasonable enough, honestly.  I approached you before to try and sort out our differences.  We are willing to do these things.  But we want the troubles to actually be buried.  So meet with me on IRC, we will discuss how we want to do this and I want you to air your grievances with us, and me (you didn't before) because you have a lot of anger.

    I'm on IRC now.

And it's fine if you can't get on right now, but an attack on the nations will be considered as you making good on your threats and will end any incentive we have to negotiate.

  15. You know, maybe if you'd actually read the thread instead of having an autistic knee jerk response. you would've seen that Roma had actually managed to be able to convince me that some of my points were questionable to the point where I had recanted and wasn't so opposed to the idea.

I actually had some more business in mind for you, so by doing this, you just lost out of millions of dollars worth of future business. Finally, I can have you reported to moderation for your calling of me ''stupid'' - which is name calling, and is against the rules.

Here at Cirrus we have a fundamental moral belief that it is wrong to aid or abet those with ideologies that are oppressive to others.  Therefore, in line with our moral and religious beliefs, it is our right to refuse such persons service.  That's not to say that we have anything against such persons in particular, indeed we are friends with some, simply that we do not approve of their lifestyle in the context of our moral and religious beliefs.

If, at any time, such persons realize that government services can only be provided or refused based on citizen/taxpayer status (and nothing else) then we will be happy to accept their patronage once more.  There are tolerance and diversity programs we could recommend to bring such results about.  As well as prayer.

I need to put off the larger investments til I build up more capital.  Til then I can approve both of these loans at 6.5%.  Post here if you accept.

  17. I do find it interesting that people's in game actions are influenced by this sub board.

Do you think maybe that's a bit harsh? I do understand that Cirrus is strictly your business, but in Thalmor's defense, he at least was noticeably reasonable about conducting his arguments, especially here at the end of the debate. I don't think it would be very right to shut him out just because he holds that opinion - if he had offended someone it would be different, but I don't think he did any such thing. I think even the OP here, Alex, would agree.

Nope.  It's my business and I can turn away customers for whatever reason I like.  I discriminate against people who are stupid and who want to see institutional discrimination against me.  Tit for a tat.

  18. LOVE WINS

    No it doesn't...?

Gay people have always been able to be in relationships, it just couldn't be a marriage. Marriage has always been defined by the constitutions of several states as being between a man and a woman. In this decision, the Supreme Court as said ''lol, we don't care'' and has just stomped all over that. They stomped all over the states that give them the rights to even have power. The only thing that gay couples gain from this is the same benefits that heterosexual couples get when they marry, so why even celebrate this decision so happily as so many people have? As OP is doing? Homosexuals still can't have their own children without complex medical procedures; and they still die sooner.

Also, If your only basis of what is right when it comes to sexual attraction is ''love'' then why can't a person marry a truck? What about marrying a horse? What about, even, a preteen? Where can a society take a step back and go ''This isn't right.''

Furthermore, what's the one thing that all animals have in common? They want to reproduce. Homosexuals, really by their very definition, cannot reproduce. Most homosexuals will also claim to have been born gay. Putting this information together, we can conclude that there's something in their brain telling them to be attracted to people of the same gender, thus forgoing millions of years of evolution and the macro sexual norms of 99% of the global population...for...some reason. With this in mind, we can conclude that homosexuality is a mental disease. So the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of less than 2% of the population - who have mental deficiencies - against the written constitution of many states, against the views of tens of millions of Americans.

It's also not much of a win once you consider that there's several countries in which being gay is punishable by death. So we can celebrate that homosexuals have a few more privileges over here in the U.S., but in the grand scheme of things concerning the gay rights movement, it's not a huge victory globally.

One could argue that it's more symbolic than anything else. That could be true, until you consider that the Supreme Court is - as most of Washington is - bought off by tons of companies and corporations. Such a corrupt institution forgoes any legibility once they become corrupt and remain so for many years. It's symbolic value is also not pragmatic once you consider that, as stated above, tens of millions of Americans aren't in favor of it.

Finally, I am very confident that this isn't the last thing we'll see out of the LGBT rights movement. Within a few years, they'll push some sort of other extreme. It could be open marriages between multiple people, marriages between children, marriages between people and objects, etc. It'll also all be under the guise of ''equality'' and ''progress'' and the same arguments will be used as they've been used with this issue.

    GG no re

P.S: Of course, I'm open to any counter-arguments anybody as: if you think I'm wrong on anything, please state so and explain why.

I've been offering you my consulting services lately, at a discount I might add, to help you and your alliance build up.  I will no longer be offering those services to you.

    Good day, sir.
