Attempted Assassination of King

King Constantine II of Byzantine,Prince of Denmark, husband and more,is in the hospital today after being shot in the left chest by an assassin while giving his speech to thousands of Byzantine people in the the city of Naples in n an attempt to cool tensions between ethnic Italians and ethnic Greek Byzantine citizens.
Constantine, currently 81 years of age was shot by his would-be assassin in his chest,while giving a speech to Byzantine citizens in the city of New Constantinople (Naples),trying to calm separatist and Republican tendencies due to centuries of perceived "occupation" of the Italian peninsula by Byzantium.After being shot,Constantine's bodyguards immediately whisked away his Wife,Princess Anne-Marie of Greece who was standing at his side during the speech and the King himself,performed CPR on him,and drove him off to a hospital which shall be unnamed.The gunman,armed with an UZI submachine gun and a knife, proceeded to gun down two guards and steal a black 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and crashed it onto a bridge, injuring himself but escaping soon after.
The entire city has been placed on lockdown as the military and police search for the suspect and try to determine if any other persons were involved,doctors have reported that while Constantine has lost a lot of blood, the surgery to save his life was successful and he is in stable but critical condition and is expected to make a recovery.
The assassination marks the 35th attempt on Constantine's life in his 57 year reign.
