In December of 1998, the self-proclaimed Nationalist Republic of North-East Korea(NRNE), along with the official Socialist Persons Democratic Republic of South-East Korea (SPDRSEK), sided, in an attempt to prevent invasion from their neighbours; The Peoples Democratic Republic of Korea(PDRK) and their close ally Eastern Nationalist Korea (ENK).

The SPDRSEK had politically established itself in the region through media manipulation of cultural differences, during the late 1970's. With financial, military and political support from The Westeros, & from defected ENK armed forces- their rebellious efforts successfully caused civil unrest and a military junta within the ENK's eastern regions. The SPDRSEK swiftly installed a new government as support for the current government slowly diminished in the Eastern regions.

In March of 1980 ENK troops launched a failed attempt to regain control of the region. By July, they had sustained heavy losses in military and infrastructure, this, and lack of international economic and political support, lead to the rapid advancement of the SPDRSEK further west into the region.

By 1986 rebel troops controlled half of the ENK's territory in the far-east regions, a 10-year ceasefire was signed by ENK and SPDRSEK as the war reached climax. In the six year period, the ENK sustained heavy territorial and military losses due to lack of international support.

Both sides had greatly increased their military power, especially along the ceasefire lines during the 'peace-years', the SPDRSEK had gained closer ties with the Westeros, purchasing large amounts of military equipment and contributing to international war efforts as an ally. The SPDRSEK had successfully established itself as a large arms producer in the region.

In December of 1994, the PDRK accused the SPDRSEK of allowing military equipment to slip through its northern borders into the mountainous regions of the PDRK, where the NRNE insurgency had been active since October that year. This neglect was seen as a threat, and heavily increased tensions in the region- The SPDRSEK denies these allegations, they claim to have attempted to thwart the movement of arms.

The SPDRSEK's decision to side with the NRNE forces; who had fought-for, controlled, and claimed the far-eastern lands in the neighboring PDRK since January 1995- would turn out to be a crucial one by the end of the 2nd Eurokorean wars.

In the Winter of 1996, tensions had greatly increased between the SPDRSEK and their neighbors PDRK & ENK. This was due to SPDRSEK's claiming that ENK troops were responsible for an artillery barrage that killed 132 civilians in the northern regions of SPDRSEK's territory- the ENK blamed it on NRNE rebels who denied the claims.

In January of 1997, NRNE troops had controlled 1/3rd of ENK's south-eastern territory.

In September of 1998, fighting had come to a halt in the regions; the SPDRSEK and the NRNE merged to form East Korea.

International intervention halted conflict.

Chola forever!
