swastikas are not purely nazi symbols that are only used by nazis, but i'm pretty sure if some dude with a stupid moustache walked into your town waving one around in his jackboots you'd make the connection
i get that you're in the syndicate and thus probably feel the need to elawyer for your wrong opinion, but go away, because you're wrong and i don't care about your browser game alliance's "PR"
There's a difference between a swastika, a pair of sowilo runes, a sowilo rune, and a winged odal rune. You also might guess that the jackboots in your example are pretty key. Using context is the key. Having people RP as vikings or varangians and using Norse runes should not have Nazi connotations. Having people roleplay as racist nationalist socialists probably should. In any case, the racism is the bad part, odal is just a letter, you may as well despise Aethelstan for his spelling as decry this AA for using a winged Odal.

So serifs make a Nazi then? Better warn the Ukrainians, they're only 45 degrees off!
So:
Racist
Not Racist
You may as well argue that
is racist and
is not.
I can't imagine why a Varangian-based alliance would want to focus on the rune for home. /s

8 pm military update Amazing. Sucks for all the people from Perth to Poland, but it's better than what it was.

When it's warranted, I'm pretty much the first person to tell Partisan to cool it with the rhetoric. And I was absolutely working on behalf of you for the difficult position you were in last war (despite the fact that you put yourself there willingly and, I think it is fair to say, didn't do enough to make it less difficult).
That said, I really hope you're just deliberately trying to spin because if you believe any of this, you're living on a different planet. Our members didn't turn from you until you came to our forums, acted hostile/avoidant, ignored a lot of very legitimate questions, and then declared on our ally after assuring us you would not. Surely you can understand how that might put us in a "difficult position"?
We cancelled you because literally no one in our alliance trusts you, and posts like the one above are pretty much a perfect example of why. Your talk of nothing changing, again considering that we just want nothing to do with you whatsoever and yet here you are in an unrelated thread still talking about Partisan and our alliance for some reason, rings particularly hollow. In short, you are either deliberately lying and doing a really poor job at it, or completely delusional.
Anyways. If you and Partisan want to hate-hump each other and save the rest of us this, you should feel free. I'll give you his address so you can get the drop on him.
Manthrax stop being so reasonable, we're supposed to hate each other.

I have no fondness of either Alpha or SK but the moral's of Alpha seem to change as often as the tide's. During the war with DEIC Alpha members along with others changed alliance's several times to counter certain tiers of DEIC without the need for DOW's but i remember you saying that it was wrong when a few DEIC members switched to help UPN at a tier level.
You can't dictate rules to players when you are the most famous of alliance's who break those rule's
Your memory is bad. We only had two nations leave the AA around the war and neither went to ghost. Vincent went over to you and Martiy went to Sigma.

As much as we're supposed to care about abstract events, people really care about events that actually impact them. In the past 8 years, only two federal events have actually impacted me.
- Obamacare saved me thousands of dollars by delaying my need for independent healthcare by several years.
- The government shutdown !@#$ed over a bunch of my friends' funding and experiments.
So for the entire Obama presidency, that's +1 democrats and -1 republicans, gg see you next decade.

In some cases, like trades, the IPs were already collected and checked against. You were unable to accept a trade sent from the same IP before (and still not allowed to do so.) But this change is much more comprehensive in tracking, even if you share the same network as someone just once you'll be prevented from trading/warring/etc. with them for the rest of eternity.
That seems like some serious overkill.

I actually have to make a new city to progress from that point though. I tried going to the Cities page, and other stuff but it hasn't registered that I got any new cities.
You have to click the "Create New City" button, but don't have to actually build the city.

Hidden archive seems like the way to go, get it out of the way, but everything remains if a resurrection is in order.

Your previous post about the odal being rare used the Italic Runic alphabet rather than the Elder Futhark, you can blatantly see the runes that odal is based on when the alphabet was adapted to germanic languages. It's a fairly common rune if you look at the correct alphabet, see an example from the Rök runestone.
There's kind of a lot of odals. The sound described by Odal was divided between Uruz and Ansuz during the development of the Younger Futhark in the late 8th Century. The rune also survived in the Anglo-Saxon futhorc until the alphabet was banned by Cnut the Great around 1000 AD. If you look at the appropriate time period, it's a very common letter. It's used in words like bean, sister, and do. Not exactly a rare thing.
