  1. Because it runs into heavy free rider problems (people not working because they'll get the same amount of income regardless).

     

    Historically, this problem has been counteracted via use of totalitarianism in order to force people to work...but if you have to ask why it's bad, you probably meant communism without a totalitarian government forcing the populace into slavery.

  2. Here it is, folks - another player being driven out of the game by "the enemy" for not playing the game how they want it played! How will this community ever survive while people continue being targeted for upstanding playstyles like stealing banks and abusing game mechanics???

     

    If you really want to support abuse of game mechanics, try to persuade Sheepy to remove the maximum of level 100 in OBL (at least for players and seating).  (And to support that with a more time-efficient way for heavy player leveling.)

  3. It would also mean that if someone is unable to get to the game for over 24 hours (such as is regularly the case for me), it's that much bigger of a penalty.

    Change it to being able to save up to 36 hours' worth of buy capability or 24 hours plus the amount you're under capacity (whichever is less), and I'd support it.

  4. I have another idea as to how to increase resource strain: Remove the caps on the number of each military building per city, and allow military buildings that increase the number of missiles/nukes you can build per day.  That way, there won't be as much of a limit on how many resources can go into war per day, causing more demand (and less supply, as economic buildings are replaced with military ones).
