Yeah, I was one of them.

No, because Mensa also had a score advantage - twice that of Lordaeron. The average city count was higher, higher military numbers, higher everything except member count, and even then the disparity was negligible since all of Mensa's members were so well equipped. In knowing this, you knew Lordaeron would be an easy roll and you knew that it would be a popular move to roll Lordaeron because everyone hates Kastor. Look, I don't blame you for doing so, but you can't act all high and mighty about over-retaliation when you have done nearly the exact same thing. If anything, Arrgh was more reasonable as it actually countered first before declaring war. If Mensa did the same, I would guarantee that raids would stop. Before anyone says "oh, Mensa said on the forums that they would roll anyone who attacked applicants xd", that's still hardly an excuse to roll an entire alliance over some slight on applicants. If Mensa wanted to act reasonably as any other alliance would, then they would simply counter the raiders, not the alliance. But as we all well know, Mensa is not known for acting as other alliances would. I suppose it would be futile to try and hold them to the same standard as everyone though, given their war record.

No, because Mensa already had all of Lordaeron covered, more or less. Arrgh did not cover every CF tier, so they asked for help for some, and paid for it for others. There is no shame in asking for help when you need it.

Why is it silly? If Arrgh cannot effectively tackle all tiers, then why should it cripple itself and not ask for help?

    Memories <3 lmao

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if this is a PR move to allow Lordaeron to get a new reputation under Chidz. Kastor can then just walk right in and form another alliance alongside it and support it. Sorta give Lordaeron a loyal clone like how NPO had/has Polaris/NpO.

Eyy fam, We just growing rn

That said, if this guide is accurate, then it suggests this game is very broken.  I say this especially from lines like, "Build friendships, very real ones, and build them deep."

Games are played to escape for fun from real life, not remind us of it.  If you're building real friendships, then you've contradicted the point of playing a game.

Bruh, have you never made friends playing games before? Like a crap ton of people play games exclusively to build friendships lol

    Well...

...one guy originally attacked deleted his own country, and the other guy got removed from the alliance.

    *Scratches head before chuckling*

    1) Yeah, one guy decided that he no longer wanted to play because his neighborhood was going through violent gang warfare and he had more important things to worry about suddenly

    2) The other guy was always sort of inactive because he's trying to get into medical school. As he got busier he decided that he didn't want to play anymore.

Now I have seen you around on Discord and I think you're a smart cookie, but just stop; maybe your ideas are just to novel for us old fashioned folks. Regardless of their activity, we wished to protect them because we deemed it the honorable and the just thing to do. I didn't need much scrutiny to see the B.S., logical acrobatics that you employed to justify the raids. To me this was personal because I knew these people. I voice-chatted them, played games together, talked about our lives. They weren't just faceless members of the alliance to me. I genuinely care about the members of Lordaeron under me. So personally, it's a slap to the face for you to come into my house, try to rob me, and then to my face, lecture me on why I should've let it happen.  To me it's simple; we govern the alliance as we see fit.

  5. Can someone explain to me why people are acting as if a "dynamic change" didn't just occur? Syndisphere just saw 4 alliances shift to oppose it. Yes, they didn't win but they very well could have. What is the measure of successful"dynamic change"? Is it only Syndisphere getting destroyed?

    Yes

  6. Well.... Good luck with your new leadership. Hopefully you guys don't get into too much more drama, or else you guys might become synonymous with the words "Micro drama". Either way, best of luck to all of you, Catsby and those who are leaving and you and those who are staying. Good luck, and godspeed.

No don't, I enjoy having something to read in the morning.

  7. People have max air in 'cause it's a cheaper and more effective defense than having lower levels of militarization in all categories.

Also, only t$ keeps max air in peacetime. The week leading up to the war wasn't really "peace".

trying to secure air control first != ground control and ground forces being useless

Air control is all t$ could do at the time.

You know what rekts the only planes strategy?

    Ground control.

You know how you can get ground control?

Not waiting for max plane nations to down-declare.

If an alliance with only planes gets blitzed at an irregular time (not update), they're !@#$ed.

I don't think Ryleh was saying that ground control was necessarily uesless but he was instead trying to point to a possible imbalance. I think the fact that many alliances keep max planes is evidence that it is the predominant area of war that is focused on. It's flexibility, and in your case low cost, and a host of other reasons show air to be possibly the cornerstones of all wars present and future.

  8. i thought max air was the dominant strategy, isn't that why many alliances have max air in peacetime?

As I was fighting wars with t$, the first thing they did to counter was regain air control... which makes sense.

If you control air, you basically control all other aspects of the fight besides missiles and nukes.
