  1. Maybe you don't mind seeing animated ads but you don't want to see rapidly flashing ads. I tend to refresh the page each time that add comes up :P.

    This. A vast majority of the animated ads are well-made and don't need to be blocked. And as they make up nearly half of the currently-running ads (14 animated and 18 not), disabling all animated ads means you're not able to see the full spectrum of what's going on, and you could become out of the loop on drama propaganda. (And you'd be subjected to an even higher frequency of Politics & Trump ads. gag.gif )

    Ads have to go through a manual approval process anyway, so there's really no added workload to implement a no-seizure policy.

  2. I'd just like to make it so people can't use an alliance pip without permission. It would be fairly easy, just create forum groups which assign pips and nothing else, then make the alliance leader the group moderator.

    That might get the staff more tied up in the politics of the game than they'd like to be...

  3. Every nation color has a Color Stock Bonus except for Gray. This bonus is applied to a nation's gross income. The size of the bonus assigned to each color is dependent upon the nation color of nation's that possess Treasures. The more nations that have treasures on a particular color, the higher the Color Stock Bonus will be for that color. To receive the Color Stock Bonus, a nation must be on the color in question. If the nation is in an alliance, its nation color must match his alliance color to receive any bonus. This does not apply to Beige nations, who will receive a 5% bonus regardless of whether they're in an alliance or not.

  4. Tanks require munitions.png Munitions and gasoline.png Gasoline to operate. They use both 1 munitions.png Munitions and 1 gasoline.png Gasoline per 100 tanks to fight. If you don't have enough resources to supply all of your tanks in battle they will not add any army to your value but still be able to take damage.

    Shouldn't they add value to your army, not the other way around?

  5. I just added a War Slots Open indicator on nation search pages. For example: https://politicsandwar.com/index.php?id=15&keyword=United%20Purple%20Nations&cat=alliance&ob=score&od=DESC&maximum=41&minimum=0&search=Go&memberview=truewhen you look at UPN's member nations, you'll see a little green shield with a plus sign for nations that have open defensive slots. If you hover your mouse over the icon, it'll even tell you the number of available slots.

    ITT: Sheepy endorses attacking UPN.

  6. This is ugly and does not match the style of the game. Also it's shit cropped.

    resources.png

    This is not and does. And it's cropped properly.

    Even better, just make it a table so nobody can complain about cropping.

    <table style="width: 50%; margin: 0px auto;" class="nationtable">
        <tbody>
            <tr>

                <th>Bauxite</th>
                <th>Lead</th>

  7. You successfully upgraded your Stadium's Seating level to 4, increasing it's maximum occupancy by 300, at a cost of $3,500.00.

    Excessive apostrophe. Also either "level" should be capitalized or "Seating" should be lowercasized. Double also having Stadium capitalized everywhere is stupid, but that's just a stylistic choice and at least you're consistent.
  8. The CSS for .nationtable says rows have alternating colors. But since some rows are hidden by default (namely, Gov type and Unique ID help), some rows do not alternate in the default display (i.e. the cells before/after the help boxes are the same color).

    A simple solution would be to add an empty tr to the end of the help boxes (or any element, really, since the CSS only cares about the number of children, not the type), but that's bad practice (unless you filled it with actual content). You could remove the help boxes from the table entirely, and then use CSS to position them back to where they were before, but that seems like a lot of effort. And then there's still the issue of the colors not alternating when the help boxes are displayed, but that's easily fixed by giving those a third background color (I'd go with something near #e8e9f4, halfway between the two table colors).

    And a note for my fan club:

    Tech Support: Reporting of bugs and exploits within the game.

    A software bug is an error, flaw, failure, or fault in a computer program or system that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways.

  9. View Nation page, list of military stuff available/lost/destroyed. Every data cell is the form <td>###<br /><i>###<br />###</i></td> except soldiers, which has the first line break within the italics.

    Damnit Sheepy, be more consistent!
