If I had been the thinking kind of guy before this war, I would bet that GPA Gov. would have talked to The Endless before DoW'ing them! The Dow on us (TEst) I understand but on The Endless, neh not so much!

There's no assuming going on - we know that Terminus Est cited their mutual treaty with The Endless when they declared war on us, because it's in their declaration of war (screenshotted here).

The wording at the end of the declaration of war implies that either they went in without approval from The Endless knowing it was a war-game or that they went in with approval from The Endless knowing it was a war-game. Neither speaks well for the honour of your alliance or that of Terminus Est.

 

Or TEst went in Screamming and Yelling for Blood & Sculls as soon as we saw a friend being attacked. We might (I am not gov. so I dont know this for sure) have forgotten to checkin with Endless. Two thing that could be an indication of this is the well known fact that TEst consist of level headed people with a keen eye for details, and the fact that it was not Jodo that posted the dow (Not that this makes the dow invalied!).

The only situation where it is ok to hit an ex-allied shortly after having cancelled a treaty, is if you are badly needed to save an allied (and no you was not needed this time). But then that is just my opion! History show that you think otherwise and I am sure that it has given much food for thought around Orbis.

 

Btw. I got a question I was hoping you would answer: Where, when and to whom did you communicate the cancellation of your treaty with Guardian?

You're not obligated to hold any kind of treaty with anyone, but generally when you sign a treaty with an alliance that then later pisses all over that treaty, insults you, and declares an optional war on your allies while neglecting to help you in the same way and then you cancel, wait for the treaty to expire, and then proceed to declare war on the alliance that attacked your other allies who actually stood by you, you're going to get criticism.  If VoC and co. can't understand this concept.... well !@#$ I wouldn't even be surprised.

That will be tweaked slightly. I'm considering a 30 day period after reset of no raiding on our part. However, that idea is still up in the air.
