NPO has been in communication with us every step of the way, and has been nothing but helpful and supportive. The last thing we would want anyway, would be for our own desires to be forcing dozens of other alliances to stay in a war. So i'm all for everyone else peacing out. Just like we were not part of IQs war, they are not part of ours. I wouldn't want their plans to be derailed due to ours.
Besides! They were distracting TGH. We want *ALL* of TGH for ourselves. None of these outsiders hogging their slots from us! We're very possessive that way.
If this is how it went then once again I ask Settra are you thick or just trying to hard. If NPO was already at war with TGH then what else could they do? How do you declare in defense of someone when your already at war with those whom you must defend your protectorate from. Wow that is confusing and I wrote it. Wasn't bagging anyone simply stating an observation.

There's no mediator that goes around justifying what's a CB and what's not. After multiple other "protectorates" of NPO joined in the war (Mind you, nobody hit them first), there was most definitely just cause on ODN at that point.
I was not talking about ODN I was talking about Acadia. We have a MDP with NPO and by no means are obligated to do anything if they are on the offensive. We were hit with out a CB. My AA is not a protectorate there for does not fall under your statement.
Looking back through the forums quickly I do not see a DOW on my alliance either so my statement stands we were hit with out a CB. No mediator is needed to confirm or refute that. It is fact. We were preempted on a guess we might come on in. I have no idea either way as I am not in the know.
My mistake we have no treaty with NPO. Like I said I'm a foot soldier not gov. My mistake.

ODN is its own alliance it has chosen to stay at war even though its protector has given it the opportunity to exit. NPO can not be forced to defend when ODN makes this choice. Are you thick or just really trying too hard.

Because NPO has done what it is supposed to have done. ODN made a choice to stay in and there for nullified NPOs obligation. A protectorate really is a one way treaty in favor of the Protector. If the protectorate chooses to be aggressive it usually nullifies the treaty. If someone hits the protectorate then NPO has to defend. In this situation it can be argued strongly that ODN has made a choice against its protectors advice and therefor stands alone. NPO is under no obligation offer any help but I'm sure once peace is obtained will probably help with the rebuild. Ive known of Roq for a very long time hes a smart guy and loyal to his allies.

FAN version two? I have never been a fan of ODN in other realms, if this was how I saw them in other places then perhaps my opinion would be different. Here though I applaud you OS for doing what you and yours believe to be right consequences be damned. In other realms Ill see you eventually and hope that you have this same attitude.

The truth is that, regardless of the rhetoric utilized on these forums, neither side was interested in dragging it out for another month or two. Each had their own reasons for that, but obviously the motivations for peacing out outweighed whatever (perceived or real) advantages each side had that could motivate them to fight further.
I never referenced IQ as a whole. I am a simple foot soldier and gave my personal perspective. What I am seeing is a bunch of whining about the terms. I stated in an earlier post my AA was hit with no CB and I believe we should have held Rose for reps. That isn't really feasible in this type of conflict. What is being seen is a bunch of posturing and chest thumping by mostly non-IQ that they were merciful and how bad they were winning and how terrible the terms were. Simply put if you don't like them don't take them. I believe the last part of your post is the most honest thing ive seen posted yet and is probably the closest to the truth that will be posted on these forums.

I'm curious how big were these nations that deleted? If they left then good riddance if they aren't willing to loose some stats due to war. Y'all seem stuck on this. I see a lot of serious butt hurt over the NAP as well. I'm pretty sure someone has said this already, if you didn't like it and were so sure you were crushing us don't sign it. Yes your side had big nations making tons of cash. In my AA most of us were down in the 2-3k range. I could still make money and enough steel to hold my opponents and keep them blockaded. I was one of the nations that got caught with way to much cash on hand and was blockaded quickly so that it could be drained. I was close to buying another city. How about lets put this simply yall kicked the shit out of us in the first couple rounds it was more of a draw in the next couple and down the stretch you were all punched out and we caught a second wind.

I think IQ should have kept this going I for one am disappointed this is over. Rose should have had to pay for hitting us with out a CB of any kind. That's why I'm just a foot soldier and not gov cuz this shit would have pissed me off.
