  1. Don't want to be the hater here, but I watched an episode of Hetalia once and it was without a doubt one of the absolute stupidest things that I'd ever seen to the point that I was frustrated and disgusted that people liked it so much.

I really wanted to be sick.

  2. Is there any way to find out what state the hosting servers are located in? It's very possible that the initial argument still holds if there are state or even local laws prohibiting incest.

This PDF is a good resource on state incest statutes and the severity of the crime. http://www.ndaa.org/pdf/criminal_incest%20chart%20_2010.pdf

I find it curious that every state considers incest a crime when there is no federal law regarding it, so really the argument should be if discussion of what is considered a crime should be banned according to local laws or federal laws.

  3. it would be far to easy to allow basic airstrikes to add to the victory score. As someone could just spam a massive airforce, forget about any other type of troop and obliterate their foes, as their foe would have no way to fight back.

That's my view on the subject.

The effects of ground control already do quite a lot to balance that out, though.

  4. You do realize that anything like this would make everyone's favorite pastime activities (raiding) very difficult to do, right? Just imagine having to wait an entire week just to farm that one fat gray nation.

It really wouldn't bother me too much. I'd bother to suggest people who are gone for over two weeks don't get as long of a grace period on behalf of the raiders but really it's something that I think should be accepted as a concession from everyone in the name of fairness, something that as a raiding nation I'd concede too and I hope most others would as well.

Five days seems like an acceptable time to me. But I could see three or four days working too.

  5. Meewstatza People's Mew

Weeks of Destruction take their toll upon Meewstatzan Civilians

    03~HooverBombedCity.jpg

A commercial ward of Nyanoto, pictured after suffering weeks of terror bombing raids from fleets of the oppressors' aircraft.

"The cost of the last weeks has been greater than we have ever witnessed, both in the millions it shall cost to repair our great nation and in the untold thousands who have lost their lives in the face of the heinous aggression shown by our enemies, who continue to attack us every day unprovoked in what can only be fathomed as a crusade to destroy our race. In response I say that we shall not be defeated until their tanks and their bombers destroy every rock that our land offers us to hide under and I shall readily give my life in defense of our nation. Should it take our nation one hundred centuries to have our revenge over these cowards then I shall be prepared to take those first steps today."

    - Premier Moloko delivered these impassioned words over all national radio stations still broadcasting yesterday evening and just from local reports from Nyanoto recruitment stations enlistment is up 500% as able men young and old from across the desolate remains of the city ready themselves to take up arms against the foreign hordes, information and whereabouts of military buildup in other parts of Meewstazta is largely unknown following the widespread collapse and subsequent destruction of the active military from a surprise attack by Dutch Exploitation Forces, although it is believed that from the mountains to the woods of Meewstatza paramilitaries and remnants of the regular army have been waging guerrilla campaigns and suicide attacks against the Purple forces that as of the last week have held control of the frontiers between and road networks connecting our cities.

Resource reserves lower than ever; Industries choked and citizens starve during second week of >blocade.

    99_538.jpg

Citizens of Nyanoto gather to receive daily food rations from civic works volunteers.

In the rubble of Nyanoto hundreds gather every day to receive their rations of food and clean water, reports come in across the country that there are shortages everywhere and in this week alone the daily fruit rations have been cut by 40%, beef shall be unavailable to civilians into perpetuity and as such shall be replaced entirely by poultry, which will be increased by 40%. Additionally the chocolate ration will be cut to four grams a week and tobacco will be cut to ten grams per week. As the formerly affluent citizens of our great nation must come to terms with this new wartime life which has been thrust unto all in our state, we must collectively realize who it is that shoulders the blame for every malnourished child, for the scores of our elderly who have been starving by the day as a result of the blockade we have been forced to live under. Our nation was formerly the most prosperous of our bloc, only days before the attacks we had managed to irrigate large swathes of mountain land to boost our harvests by over 500% and our industry was if not equal to then only second only to our longtime ally and friendly rival Peace, our great furnaces and assembly lines being fueled by bi-weekly shipments of coal and lead from developing nations, which may also stand as evidence that Meewstatza is and for a long time has been a friendly nation that wishes to help smaller states with our patronage and commerce, although only one shipment of coal breaking through the blockade in the past week, the fires shall soon die out. As all industry stands entirely devoted to wartime use then it is only a good thing for us that we have such great stockpiles of munitions to arm our citizenry to defend our borders with when there is no longer the resources to field a mechanized and modern army. Although perhaps one of the most harmful and outright shameful consequences of all is that the blockade is preventing shipments of the valuable purple ink that the Official Meewstatzan State Correspondence offices as well as all official press agencies use in any and all documents of any official importance and it is expected that unless gallons of the mauve ink are allowed past the blockade then soon office workers and secretaries across the country will have to dictate in another color. Although it is known that there stockpiles of a slightly lighter shade that would serve us for months even under prewar demand.

Factories persevere despite massive shortages and opposition dominance of land, air, and sea.

An air technician in Maosaka rests on the tail of a Sparrow interceptor as it is assembled and prepared for a final inspection pending takeoff.

Following contingency plans that were put into affect soon after the initial VoC attacks destroyed Meewstatza's offense military capabilities all of the nations industrial and military infrastructure was hastily dismantled and reassembled in blown out caves and concrete hanger complexes deep inside mountains, as depicted in the picture above. Despite massive losses in infrastructure these facilities have been maintained and even with shortages of war material aircraft production has been able to rise at least 20% and has allowed our brave pilots to maintain the struggle for the skies of our nation even when their plundering armies force us to resort to using only small numbers launched from makeshift runways and yet our aces are still manage to contest with their far superior capacities to send out aircraft. In spite of these successes our pilots stand no chance when facing superior numbers and most do not often last a day, but we must remember them and thank them for the damage they did cause on the sorties they were able to perform while they did serve. Despite this there are more volunteers to Meewstatza's air corps than any other branch of service, largely due to the fact that the estimated 10% survival rate for a pilot is far and above that of the infantryman or tanker, and our pilots who do get into the air have been recorded to destroy an average of one enemy building and 100 enemy civilians per sortie. We love our airmen and as a nation we share their own personal revenge.

  6. other FS advice

start cleaning your ears with antibactierial soap. you could pop them with a needle, thats what I do, but I clean the needle with rubbing alcohol fist to make sure its sterile. then you can put alcohol on them right after to dry them up. Don't use too much, it can dry your skin

That's some good advice. You know what to do about pimples on my belly or these growths that I believe are ingrown hairs on my scrotum are?

  7. National Socialists are the Nazis...

    Communism =/= Bolshevism.

    National Socialsim =/= Nazism.

Just because Hitler's Nazi party was national-socialist in name does not mean that in principle and in action they were national-socialist, and in fact the factions of the party that were still in favor of socialism were by and large liquidated when Hitler and the SS leadership consolidated their control over the Nazi party.

  8. It seems as though it should be a given, especially now that you can be defeated in a war that after you are defeated by a nation you're granted a period where nobody else can declare war on you unless you declare a new war, preferably lasting something close to a week.

  9. You're "exploiting" it too I imagine, one look at you nation tells me some of those improvements are not supported by infra.

The obvious solution is what should have been done long ago and make is so improvements are either destroyed completely or cease working when the infrastructure supporting them is gone.

  10. I like the idea of PoWs. Not so much using nations as PoW's.

How it would work is you launch a ground attack, tick a box that says "take PoW's"

When you tick this box you can't use tanks or munitions and your military fights at say 75% strength (they're trying to capture not kill)

Now instead of casualties your enemy suffers captures, their amount of captures is how many PoW's you get.

    Once you have some options.

Ransom: Offer the nation you are at war with to give them their PoWs back, for a modest fee of course

Turn Coat: Convince your PoWs to fight for you, Each PoW has a 1/4-1/3 chance of turning to join you.

Interrogate: At the expense of some PoW casualties from over enthusiastic interrogations you gain intel on the enemies current strategy and gain a x% boost to the next ground attack (defensive or offensive)

Forced Labor: Put them to work, boost your revenue by 1% for every 1,000 PoWs for the next 3 days (numbers are subject to change for balance reasons)

The thing that would keep this balanced is to take PoWs you can't use tanks munitions, or full strength, but your enemy can, so it would be a calculated risk.

This is way better and includes anything I could hope for.

Making PoW Nations a game mechanic just isn't a good idea.

  11. A few people have reported this bug before and it's been happening to me for the last week.

I get notifications when I receive PM's but when I'm attacked or when I receive or confirm or the other party confirms a trade offer I'm no longer getting the notification.
