    Victoria II is love. Victoria II is life.

     

    Nothing is more satisfying than being militarily powerful enough to crush the rest of the powers when they try to start containment wars over infamy. Second to that, I guess, is successfully taking all of Africa under your colonial rule.

     

    But yeah Victoria 2 is love Victoria 2 is life.

    there is literally nothing wrong with having a dev who disappears with no explanation for 3 months at a time regularly 

    Pretty much this. It's infinitely more fun to leave a group of people who hate each other in one place without moderation for months on end than to create a well moderated game with well mannered normal people.

    here you will also note the absence of the disrespectful player culture that is so pervasive in BLOC.

     

    I was afraid of that being the case actually. Ultimately I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on the cultural difference being for the better. You see, playing a completely broken game with mosh pits of backstabbing, banter, and cheating is a lot more fun than it sounds. My only regret is that I didn't join it sooner.

     

    Still, this game is fun in its own way and I'd like to enjoy it for what it is.

    I have Civ 4, Civ 5, and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.

     

    Personally, Alpha Centauri is my favorite out of that list even counting Civ 4: Beyond the Sword. It's such a well made game that it does not require any sort of modding to enjoy even after playing it for months on end. Simply put, it can stand on it's own.

    Hello my fellow patriots:

     

    Since normal BLOC has been flooded by redditors, trw BLOC has gone full nuclear, and most other nation building browser games aren't looking too good either, I have been looking for a new nation building browser game to bring my freedom crusade to. One of the first suggestions offered to me by a former BLOC Party member was to set up shop in a game called Politics and War; his suggestion turned out to be a good one so far. Here, I hope to make an organization capable of protecting this game from the overwhelming hordes of Marxoteens and tyrants threatening it.

     

    I look forward to playing with you all.
