I missed a dang Kyogre raid for this man. Don't tell me I never sacrificed anything for the war effort.

I'd wish you luck, but from what I've heard about FSA, it sounds like that would be largely unnecessary.

I think a temporary peace mode for newly created nations would be acceptable in order to give them a chance to build.
However, it should be ONLY for newly created nations and only for a certain period. Being able to switch in and out of PM at will is too easily abused.

In-game reps is an idea that I would be open to.
War is not profitable in RL, and it should not be profitable in here.
If we're using RL as an argument, are you saying that resources and land have never been taken in a RL war?

You really think someone should be able to mass 1,000,000 troops
overnightwith a couple clicks though? And then as soon as they're done with them sell them off and never pay for the upkeep?Well the second issue can be resolved if you make it so soldiers cannot be decommed if you launched an attack since you last collected.

Right now war is quite destructive with little gain to be had. I attacked some random guy to test out the freshly added ground attacks and the result after 2 attacks is that I basically crippled the poor bastard while getting $4.86 for my trouble. Makes the whole thing feel a bit pointless really.
This is especially disappointing because this guy has a buttload of land. Being able to take some of that would give me more incentive to keep attacking. The ability to take resources is another possibility that people have brought up which could also be a strong incentive to attack nations on other continents in order to gain resources that your nation lacks.
Another issue is that the damage dealt seems a bit extreme to me. I could probably take my target's infra down to 0 from his original 183 in another couple of attacks (only reason I'm not doing that is because I gain nothing from it). Correct me if I'm wrong, but since I took his last bit of money, he'd basically be completely screwed without aid if I decided to do that and he wouldn't even have the chance to respond because I have insomnia and decided to randomly rush him at 5AM. You could say it's his fault since he has no cash on hand and had no defending troops, but he fact that attacks deal so much damage gives the initiator a huge advantage even if the defender has a decent stock of cash and defending troops (unless having defending troops also mitigates infra damage?) given that I doubt we're all constantly monitoring our nations. Also, if land and resource claiming is added in, infra damage will definitely need to be re-balanced anyway as overall devastation could become a bit ridiculous.
