  1. Yep, I live in Ohio so 3 a.m. and first shift work just doesn't jive the greatest. At the end of the day though, that's tough, I'll just have my pixels murdered much quicker. Would trade that for a decent paycheck any day.

    But seriously, what's the problem?

  2. Can I have a refund on my credits instead?  When I bought them things were entirely different and the goalposts haven't just been moved slightly, they've been completely relocated.

This has been very poorly managed.  You're supposed to be running a professional business but you can't access the internet because you're on a boat.  You're in 21st century America FFS.

Every major decision or change seems to screw Mensa over whether intentionally or not.  First many of our opponents were getting masses of exploit money which was by no means resolved to the communities satisfaction.  Then the spy system was nerfed because we were doing too well with it.  Now when we're winning what is probably the biggest war in the games history, you've decided to undo a large, key proportion of it.  If you want to earn $1000 less per month, you're going the right way about it.

I don't have time right now to watch for when the game comes back online and try to redo everything that had been achieved at great effort, even if it was possible, which it isn't because our opponents now know our every move.  It will probably go live in the wrong timezone for me too.

It's sad that others want to win like this

This is how games die.  Mensa have made a big contribution to growing this game, especially the active community.  We're now being taken for granted and are having a very real discussion about whether it's worth continuing (cue cheers from opposing inferior alliances).

This isn't just about Mensa though.  It's a poor way to run a game all around and I'm surprised at the attitude of some thinking that there are positives in this no matter what side they are on.

So yeah, refund please.  Rant over.

There's that persecution complex a few of you gents in Mensa seem to rage over nonstop. The only reason the contributions you have made to the game "are being taken for granted now" is because of your shitty attitudes and the way you shit on people you think are your "lessers." It's been no secret in pnw's history that cash you spend in-game are donations. Yes, everybody appreciates that people have put their hard-earned cash into the game to help constantly improve it. That much is undeniable, but truly the only people that seem to really be complaining about this reset are you, and a couple (maybe 2 or 3) of your alliance mates. A few days seems pretty crazy to go full potato over.

Personally, I'd just rather a full-reset. Everybody on an equal setting, and able to "take a stab" at building again. You whined about even so much as dreaming the idea into life, and apparently a whopping 4 days is way too much to ask for as well. So, it's either one-way or no way? Why not a compromise somewhere in the "middle?"

If 4 days is so bad to you, perhaps another nation sim really is up your alley. The ability to show longevity and adapt clearly isn't your strong suit.

Also, Sheepy's doing everything he can to find a reasonable compromise to the situation, some will inevitably leave. I think he's adult enough to realize you simply can't please everyone, ever.

  3. Oh but it's not a clear issue. :)

Before anything is rolled back we better be presented with all the data and valid reasons for it. Currently, there is no reason whatsoever for people to think that this is a result of a hack. It could be anything at this point. Maybe there is no problem after all. Sorry but I have no reason to trust a guy who abandons his whole alliance in the middle of the war for a week and shows up right after it was "hacked".

It's this little thing called "having a life." You should try searching for one too bud. Rather than attempting to place every glitch/exploit/hack as VE's doing try finding a job. Find some friends that (hopefully) aren't as foolhardy and accusatory as you seem to behave. Twice in the past week your camp's levied claims of our members being exploiters and cheaters, and twice Sheepy has shut you down.

Now this latest glitch/hack comes along and you're right back to accusing us of some conspiracy to cheat the system for our own gain. And Sheepy will shut you down yet again for your bogus bs accusations. Look, I realize you're trying to make sense of this situation too, but pointing the finger at us all because you can is nothing but a lame attempt at deflecting from the issue itself. Somebody clearly hacked/exploited the game, yes. Did you do it? Possible I suppose, but probably not. Did any of us at VE? I can say with every bit of certainty, no we did not. Let Sheepy and Malone figure it out. After that you'll at least have some legitimacy when placing blame.

  4. In response to a PM I sent about his "brave" attack of...

    *claps*

Sometimes it's a pretty solid idea to send in failure/pyrric attacks, especially if you was declared on initially and have some battle buddies that outclass your opponent in whichever particular field you're trying to lock down, (air, ground, naval, doesn't matter) but may not have a higher amount to go for a decisive victory. Doing so makes their (battle buddy/ies) live's just a little easier. There's a few different tactical maneuvers to shoot for when you're warring. It all boils down to how to achieve your end result, no matter what your situation is. Obviously King Jeff was boned in that battle if he was fighting you all by his lonesome. If there were others fighting you simultaneously, however, that could well be what he was aiming to achieve.

  5. Uh? The standard "confederate flag" is the Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia, or one of them. The flag that NAC uses is the "Blood-Stained Banner", an official flag of the Confederate States of America.

And yet still, the fact remains it's a Chinese-made rag, same as any other, it's no one's fault but their own they hold such symbols above that of human kind interests.

  6. So, let me get this straight. BK is invited to a coalition channel to plan a war against their allies, when BK confirms that they have no wish to hit their own ally and then decides to hit a non ally plotting against their ally it displeases VE. How are you surprised? It seems like this is more of a ploy to discredit BK because they didn't follow along with you like you wanted them to. This kind of attitude is why we left Paragon in the first place. The only !@#$ here is you Impero. Woof woof mother !@#$er.

    lul.

you take this game so seriously that you rage like a "Directioner" fangirl when her idols are insulted. Seriously, stop talking like you understand past tS-VE relations. You haven't been around long enough to pass judgements.

  7. Except your entire coalition continues to pussyfoot around Mensa. It's also quite hard for us to declare war on Rose because, well, you know... we have a treaty. Also didn't tS recognize hostilities with you all anyway?

Who's fault is it Mensa hides beside a spiderweb of treaties?

...no one's. Probably not even Mensa's

  8. Except in this case, the bloodstained banner was eventually one of the flags of the Confederacy and did contain the battle flag in it. Of course, it was proceeded with the stainless banner (which also had the battle flag) and the stars and bars (which is a weird inbred cousin of the flag of Texas and the Betsy Ross flag), but few people remember all of those.

That said, since ya'll do use the bloodstained banner, might as well toss out an invective:

I will rip down your bloodstained banner and wipe my rebel ass with it faster than the Federals did during the War of Northern Aggression. Now come on and draw you dandies. You aren't worth my time unless you can fire the first shot.

Stop getting so cheeky man, I imagine your face was as red as a fire truck when you typed that. The fact is ALL flags, regardless of nationality are metaphorically and, in countless more cases, literally dripping with human blood. The problem

isn't which particular Chinese-made piece of cloth men and women throughout history have marched to their death believing in, it's that they felt it necessary to murder other human beings because of said symbolism.

By all means though, keep thumping your chest to that jingoistic banter. Just be mindful of the fact that without followers of the state worshipping said symbolism, there'd be no reason for any of it. A symbol only holds as much power over an individual as he or she allows it to.
