Yesterday there was a history of Cuba, today I bring you the auto-biography of Batista and why there was an entire revolution against him. Firstly he was born on January 16th 1901 in American occupied Cuba. From the 10th of October 1940 to the same date 1944 he served as the president of Cuba. In 1952 after returning from the US he went up for presidency, seeing that he would lose Batista led the army to seize control of Cuba making it a military dictatorship. Under his dictatorship the gap between rich and poor significantly increased, he aligned himself with wealthy land owners, banned many freedoms and exploited Cuba's economy under a corrupt and repressive government. Deals were made with the American Mafia and riots put down, during his reign between 1,000 and 20,000 people were killed.
