I found Kastor's thread about manufactured goods pretty interesting and I kinda wanted to know what national projects Orbis favors and why. What do you currently have? What motivated you in to picking it/them?

Not sure. Never found them too appealing. That money can be used on so many other things. Perhaps when I'm larger.

Iron Dome - No brainer there.

 

MLP - Will be scrapping this soon as I rarely launch missiles, but it's valuable when losing a conventional war.

Well I've got like 7 of em and they all benefit my nation in one way or another

 

more food, more steel, 115% commerce, 50% missile destruction, 10 more spies & 2 spy ops a day, less expensive infra (5% reduction), and N00KZ

Emergency Gasoline Reserve - Doubling gasoline production seemed to make it stand out ahead of the other resource projects, plus at the time I produced gasoline anyway (other resource was aluminum).

International Trade Center - 115% commerce

Iron Dome - Chance to defend against missiles

Nuclear Research Facility - Nukes just in case I need them

Vital Defense System - Chance to defend against nukes

 

Pretty simple reasons really.

EGR and Mass Irrigation: They both had at the time, the best ROI for any projects for a nation my size.

Iron Dome, MLP, EGR and Ironworks. EGR because it had a good ROI at the time and Ironworks because it has a good ROI currently and was a good pick to buy right before Octoberfest, especially since it took me a while to rebuild to 20000 infra.

I have the CCE, CIA, and a missile launch pad. CCE helps you build infra up cheaper which is ideal for nations trying to grow quicker, especially when you combine the autocracy bonus too it. CIA is something I found useful because it helps you be more combative to spy attacks in addition to keeping things like missiles (or nukes if you have them) from being spied away. I have missiles because the Boom N Dooms are fun.

Iron dome for obvious reason, saved my ass lot's of infra, although I didn't always work 100% all the time.

 

MLP to launch ponies missiles and shave away those 300-500 infras in quick and easy way. Also as a bragging rights in my nation page.

All except for the nuclear ones. Various reasons, but mostly to boost net income (selling resources helps considerably).
