I hope people do not make up their mind about Wilhelm based on his choice of imagery.

I personally like IC diversity (even if some things might be offensive OOC).  Orbis is basically IC amoral.  Or a better way to say that is the only morality we have is Sheepy and what he defines as acceptable.  If it's SheepyOK, I don't find a reason to bring my OOC opinions into my IC nation/leader/Orbis.

Actually this is not necessarily nazi symbolism as the eagle has been a symbol of Germany way before the nazis

This is the Prussian flag so please look at all of the facts before jumping to conclusions.

Yes, germany and prussia has used an eagle as their symbol for many years. But the only time the reichsadler has ever looked like the eagle in OP's picture was during Hitler's time in office.

He literally just flipped the image, erased the swastika and put some colour on it.

He probably did that because it had a handy little circle on the bottom to put his logo in.

This doesn't mean that it's right. And while I'm all for German roleplaying (jk it's literally been done way too many times here), this is a nazi symbol whether well known or not.

Whether or not OP intended to place Nazi logos in the post isn't the point, EDIT: IMO I think OP should change it, merely because people have shown to take offense to it.

The eagle itself without a swastika isn't even forbidden in germany... and we have the hardest censorship in those cases.

In fact, if you click here, you can see that such eagles are still on some buildings even today.

And as i've postet previously, some fashion labels even use it on their clothings.

All images I've used are along the forum rules.

"swastikas, any runes used with a nazi context, any other SS related imagery (edited or not)"

No Swastika, no runes, no SS images.

If you want to enforce stronger rules, go on, but this is a game.

And if you don't like any german nazi related stuff in games, then don't play HoI, CoD, Wolfenstein, WarThunder etc.

They have the real images, but no one's butthurt there. Ridiculous hypocrisy in here.

But hey, maybe next time i make a Brezel-Weißwurst-Bavarian Beer alliance >_>

Btw, especially americans shouldn't point their finger on others now, just because you've won the war.

200 years. I don't think Prussia/Germany can keep pace with that.

I don't even include in which manner some wars were fought/won.

The Americans may have experienced their share of warmongering and blood lust, but the difference between them and the Germans is that they never made what was pretty much factories of death, where "undesirables" were simply exterminated (and experimented upon). Nor have the Americans ever, as far as I recall, instigated a war that would include almost the entire world and result in the death of about 80+ million people. Only Germany can be said to have done that.

It could also be argued that if the First World War had never happened, the United States may have remained a relatively isolationist nation, but that's a discussion for another thread.

I'm cool with the eagle though. After all, the United States uses one on their great seal, so why shouldn't you be allowed to use one.

Good luck with your alliance.

Confirmed for German nationalist. It turns out how you fight the wars actually matters, and if you systematically exterminate millions of civilians you don't get to compare yourselves favorably to other warlike nations. And, if it matters, in those other games you pointed out typically the Nazis are the enemy. Not a peer player. I guess you thought no one would notice you used the Wolfestein logo with the Nazi stormtroopers?

It's a well known game and this is a forum used by many gamers, i'd wonder if no one would realize.

My luck that Adolf didn't paint it ;^)

German nationalist? And if? Fight me if you can ;)

Weird how even tho Germany and the germanic culture has a rich and long history, dating back thousands of years, you guys decided to pick a bunch of symbols, phrasing, names and game references all tied to nazi culture. Weird how that just happens.
