Popular Post Caillou Posted August 2, 2015 Popular Post Share Posted August 2, 2015 Greetings Orbis, Keegoz recently resigned as emperor of Rose and we actually followed the process of succession described in our charter for the first time since our creation. In the past we have made an announcement similar to this but with the resigning emperor simply stating who they would be having replace them, this time there was a vote held among the membership following a nominations thread, it is probably the most democratic process that exists within our chambers. Belisarius, and myself were the two most nominated, along with Adama - who never officially accepted but was placed on the ballot anyways. After two days of voting I had won the vote and here we are again. However, there have been changes to government from the places I have now left empty and Belisarius being promoted to regent. Belisarius will be overseeing internal affairs until further notice, and I will be overseeing foreign affairs under the same conditions. Rose has existed on this world since last November and I firmly believe we have been involved in pivotal wars and events that occured here, I plan on continuing the rich history by maintaining the high activity, competitiveness, and economics of Rose. Regardless all that was minor stuff and good luck and all that. Resigning from emperorship is often a steeping stone to inactivity which leads to deletion. Would I be sad if he went? I value my honesty so no I wouldn't (not that I want that to happen to him of course), but it'd be a loss for many people. Caillou is a good choice. I say good because I don't want to say best as there are others in Rose who I believe would also be fit for the spot and putting Caillou above them would be degrading them. Good to hear that... horrible (lets leave it at that) Belisarius didn't get it but he'll get it next time no doubt. Also regent? What? If he is co-leader then just name him emperor too. A regent exists when the ruler (emperor in this case) cannot carry out his duties and having one around when that is not the case would be... most odd. In such a case I'd expect the ruler if they didn't strip them of the title to simply eliminate the threat to their authority... but this is just a name that I think is ill suited no big deal. Oh well enough of that negative stuff. Good fortune to Caillou and his Rose. Well done, Draco. I like the gif and all but... that originates from "Hello !@#$"? What an odd name to find such a gif.
