My cities having been reduced by 60% infrastructure, and easily $60 million in damage to my nation. A very costly, long, and damaging war indeed. I cannot speak for all of Guardian, but I assume it's fair to say we accept responsibility for our actions, and are thankful for the generous surrender terms you have offered us. I hope that Guardian and VE can have a brighter future. Why we didn't in the first place baffles me. Guardian and Prefontaine were a strong ally with the now non-existant alliance Ignis Imortales. If I recall correctly, Ignis Imortales merged into VE (or something along those lines), and so I would have thought our two alliances would have been friends from the start simply by that association. Either way, I get something out of it. If SK opts to get out early, well, June 5th is the wisdom of crowds, and I would like my predictions to be right, some time. If SK opts to sit and get bashed down into the zero-tier and be a thorn into the side of VE for some time, then we now have an interesting experiment. Mensa ditched early, Guardian ditched later, SK ditched late. Mensa looks almost certain to be well-integrated into a future world system, Guardian looks as though it'll try, but it might not work well, while SK opted, if they peace out late, to choose glory over life. It's three approaches to a losing war, and if they don't re-coalesce, we now have a natural experiment in the outcome of different responses. Quote . But on the other hand, Guardian had to pay by stabbing its ally, and just as Guard had to pay more than Mensa, SK's negotiating position is even weaker than SK-Guard's, and I wouldn't be surprised if SK had to pay in full, especially since people view them as the instigator of this war. You got out for a laughably small price and it appears that bluff and tenaciosity works better than trying to keep a given word. Good luck rebuilding and good luck perfecting your skill to make fools out of people. And I wouldn't be surprised now if - following your example - SK would drag this war over so long that reps are nullified, you've proved it's possible to negotiate on non-negotiable terms... yay for you, I guess.
