100 % Disease for new city

I created a new city yesterday and it instantly had 100% disease, killing almost all of the people.

This doesn't appear to be correct, as the pollution is very low (2 points ) and the population density is .5 people per square mile.  I had the same result when the pollution was 0 points.

Don't you think you might need a bit more land for that amount of infrastructure?  A rough rule of thumb is that your land figure should be at least as high as your infrastructure.  That will reduce your population density and therefore your disease rate.

Ah, I see.  It's using the undisplayed base population instead of the displayed population density.    Thanks for the sarcastic help.
