Abrahamic religion is pretty absurd to me and likely the last kind of religion I would ever choose to follow. I buy LaVey's scheme more than Abrahamic religion.

LOL. There is zero science to back up Christianity, dude. Bones of old primates is not evidence of any religion. And as for capitalism, Christianity has become a capitalist religion. Just look at Xmas. Has nothing to do with religion anymore. It's all about consumerism and buying shit. Same with Easter and Halloween and any other Christian holiday.

I can't prove god doesn't exist, hence why IDC and I'm agnostic. But yes, I can prove the bible is false through science. IE: Dinos. Bam. The whole bible falls flat on it's face just right there. The earth wasn't created in seven days and the bible countlessly contradicts itself at every turn.

Tbh, I think a lot of them are just different interpretations of the same story, and I don't think that any of them are "correct," or even true. I don't believe that all or any of the events in any religious book really happened. Rather, I see them as stories meant to suggest how people should live their lives. The "correct' one is the one that teaches the lifestyle the reader believes is best. Of course, there's no doubt going to be hordes of people who disagree with me, but for now, I shall bow out of this thread before it goes to shit.

We're all crippled in the same way and we're all using some sort of a crutch. Even "will to power" is a belief and a crutch to give some false sense of meaning to a meaningless existence. It's all bs, so there's no shame in whatever crutch you use to get yourself out of bed to face life each day.

As a fairly devout Christian I can say I believe in my branch of Christianity due to its message rather than what I perceive to be factually correct. I have always had trouble grasping Creationism, but I do not believe it can be proven untrue so I accept it as a possibility. This is similar to how I view all religions as being neither correct or incorrect because I am also inclined to say that it is your right to a belief and that belief is just as valid as any other. I know this response is generally vague and not very strong one way or another, but to be honest I have not yet really come to a conclusion as to what I believe. In all, I have decided that I fit in my church and that the bonds and ideas I have made within it are enough for me to come back on Sundays.

I am a Christian that grew up in a Catholic and Buddhist Environment.

 

I don't think stomping on each others views would benefit anyone, based on experience.

 

We all have our own perception of what is right, and I am sure a debate about what is "right" when it comes to religion would be somewhat flawed since faith entices emotions. Not that I am saying you guys can't reason with logic.
