!@#$ names banned but !@#$ avatars are not?

Would like a clarification on this.  I see a few people sporting avatars of people wearing the SS uniform.  For those not aware, the SS (or Schutzstaffel) was an armed branch of the Nazi party and served as personal protection for Hitler as well as being tasked with carrying out the extermination of Jews.

Because Futhark is part of the germanic (yes english and thus american) heritage too. It's far older then nazism.

Generalizing "everything that has to do with nazism" would ban me too since im German, and heyho, ...you know?

There has to be a clear line, like:

NSDAP-Government names,

the Swastika, the Black Sun and the NS-versions of the triskelion

obvious runes like in SS(sig), Odalrune ( the NoR one), and (maybe) the Elhazrune (life rune)

 

The other ones like the one from Heinrich are arguably. Its a Wolfsangel from "The Reich" Division. but means nothing...

Technically speaking, this specific anime character is not a Nazi. Just inspired by the Nazis.

 

As for runes, let's not go banning runes again. I just got Sheepy to start accepting them. The Nazis do not own runes. They have all sorts of meaning that are not relevant to Nazism.

okay since this is turning into a debate anyways lemme chip in , i get why the !@#$ theme is banned (did horrible things etc) but as long as people arent actively promoting nazism with that , there is no problem.

there are people with communist themes ( stalin, lenin , pol pot etc) and those peeps murdered the same if not a higher % of their population and are equally as bad.

Communist leaders only kill farmhands, soldiers, and general lowlifes that aren't lucky to born into wealthy families with connections. Nazi leaders kill people whose descendants eventually become one of the most influential group in the world. Different scale of brutality, I can assure you.

 

There is no shortage of other badass armies in the history of mankind, why not choose some other banners rather than nazi?

My guess is that Sheep is or was in higher education AKA College and University and at present Higher education in many places in the west has a major hard on for Communism and all things left right now so it is ether allowed a free pass on these things in his mind or a common argument i have heard is that thous places weren't really Communist ether way the result is the same, but again that is just my guess.

You don't have to be a communist or socialist to have the mindset warp your thinking when you have spend multiple years exposed to it, and the same is true with any collection of ideas that do not get effectively challenged for a prolonged period of time Universities/Colleges tend not to challenge there own ideas and sorta become a incubation chamber for one line of thinking that being pro state thinking as they get much of there money though government action/intervention if not out right funded and more often then not the left is pro state.

In the policies page in game you can see the suggestion that the right is anti environment and pro short term profits thus suggesting that Capitalism, which the right is so often tied to, is foolish stupid or otherwise shortsighted.

 

Given that Nazism has and still is in some circles thought of as the most extreme end of the right, because Hitler embarrassed the left and it has sense been taboo, if you look at news reports before the war you will find progressives praising Hitler for his policies.

As someone who has never attended college, I can't say I've been corrupted by the horrible liberal influence there or whatever you're dragging on about.

 

Nazism is banned on these forums and in-game, nothing new here. We don't need to have a discussion about it, if someone has a Nazi picture, avatar, you name it, report it and it will be removed and the player warned. End of story.
