Got to start somewhere. It was 41 actually, not sure he got 17 from.

That's pretty impressive, kudos to your war guys.

He probably meant 17 targets. SI had a couple beige.

I almost went to take out the popcorn, then realized I was actually involved in this war and had to go back to the battlefield.

On to more important things, a lot has been said about this game being about Politics and War, so let's look at the situation from that point of view.

A few members of Mensa HQ go out and raid members of SI. It's the war part of the game. It can be handled in two ways. The SI members can retaliate against the raiding parties, or they can try diplomacy.

The leader of SI takes the Politics route. If you are going to play Politics you have to understand how politics works. When you go into a diplomatic negotiation you have to understand the power structure in the talks. You have to know what leverage you control (where's your competitive advantage). SI goes into diplomacy from a weak position (they are weaker than Mensa HQ, the only thing going for them is that they have a case to make that Mensa HQ raided them. When you go into a negotiation with a weak hand you have to be willing to take what you get (what else can you really do?). Mensa HQ offers to only pay reparations if the people who were attacked personally message for reparations (Hint: SI, you are weaker than Mensa, diplomacy dictates that you accept the conditions being put on you by the stronger person - they hold the best cards). Instead of accepting this offer, the leader of SI attacks the leader of Mensa HQ (why would you do something like that when you know you are weaker?). Now Mensa HQ decides to respond to that attack. The result is full scale WAR.

Basically, we are looking at very poor politicking by SI. If you are going to play politics, you better know what your hand is and make sure you don't overplay it. Anyone who has done any bit of diplomacy understands this. You cannot play a hand bigger than you have.

For those who think Mensa HQ is going to get a bad rep for this, you are being short-sighted. At the end of the day, politics calls for forming alliances with people you know will be there in times of need. The real thing which will be taken out of this when all is said and done is the organization and activity of Mensa HQ. How many alliances have been able to swiftly launch into a full war in such a short time frame as Mensa HQ just did? We are showcasing to our allies our ability to effectively take care of the War side of things, while at the same time offering our members an opportunity to practice.

We want to thank SI for giving us to this opportunity to fine tune our machine. It's a learning experience for us and it will only make us better in the future.

Hereno had only two options: !@#$ out or not.

With all the hate I have for Mensa HQ, :P :p

People are really over reacting for this war. We should consider our positions carefully before going for negotiations, something Hereno didn't do. There is no law and no rule book for the game, just a bunch of rules big alliances made by themselves. The game is built to fight, this is not FarmVille !

The feeling about hatred is not mutual Oppilan. Your attacks made the game more interesting. B)

Actions and reactions, some smart, some foolish, some rude and much depends on what side you are (if any side).

Learning and find new ways how to react that is making this game interesting for me. :)

First off, lol at the propaganda all over my screen.

Mensa, I don't need you telling me how great your leader is. I can make judgement on his character for myself.

Secondly if you believe you have lost nothing out of this war than you are pretty wrong. To begin with I did believe that this war was petty and not even worth my time to give it a comment. In fact I got quite mad in the fact that I had a member start this thread and then government members help fuel it but as I read further my opinion has been swayed. It hasn't been from the way people have flung the old "Mensa is a danger to this world and it must be stopped!" argument bs that gets flung around at any alliance people feel threatened by but the way you have conducted yourself to these criticisms.

To me it seems like you just don't give a damn about your actions or the consequences that could come with those actions and instead use your size as justification for your wars (Which it would seem Pfeiffer asked for). You let a few raids escalate into an alliance war because you gave Hereno one option and then refused to really say much more to him than "fyht me bro", it's pretty poor politics and if you believe this hasn't affected your standing in how alliances perceive you then you are quite mistaken.

Now I do believe I have given this topic too much of my time.

Interesting reply.

I don't think any of us was talking about how great Pfeiffer is...

The sin of Hubris is too strong within Mensa in this thread. Please consider that just as you can roll them due to them not being prepared for war, you yourself can be rolled by others when you least expected it. Please repent and give peace a greater chance.

It is my personal opinion, but it seems like apart from offering to pay reparation to an 8 day old sleepyhead (who won't be able to accept the trade request anyway), Pfeiffer had done nothing to prevent this war, even going so far as to goad Heleno into attacking so that Mensa HQ can have a casus belli against Socialist International.

I implore you to repent and stop this senseless war. Some of them may be communists, but they are still God's creations.

Holy Empress Alice Lune of the The Blessed Empire of Elicis

You should speak more often. You're one of the better voices coming from this whole mess.

Spite is like if I had a filter and/or patience. It's why I love him.

Few people seem to have seen the post where I said that when Jodo attacked me I thought it was on Hereno's commission. Can't be sure one way or the other, no matter what anyone says, but as he was the only person I was talking to about anything that would even remotely precipitate war at the time, I figured it was him and thus the whole bit about calling him out.

That being said, once he attacked there really was only one response. I could have 1v1'd him, and we would have both come out equally bloody, but eye for an eye isn't really my thing. I tend to do things the Chicago way.

Odd considering I know where you live in RL and it's nowhere near Chicago...

Chicago is known for there cutthroat corruption and dirty tactics. So Pfeiffer does fit in there.

The sins of Mensa are noted. You have killed Dio. Dio is dead, you stomped his name and gouged his eyes. Justice is coming, much like winter.

You may attack me without alliance interference, if you've got the balls. Window open for 24 hours.

Bring your 'justice' Chickenshit.
