Red Huxley Posted March 18, 2015 Share Posted March 18, 2015 It has came to my attention (3/17/15) that MensaHQ members have attacked my member of BRMC.In three separate attacks, which I cannot ignore do to the fact that is has been consecutive. I firmly believe that the attacks were unjust and of no reason. I condemn these acts, and I cannot ignore this, while being the Head of the Alliance. We do not wish for War between our two alliances or even a Proxy War. I have came to the conclusion that this needs to be addressed formally or not, to stop any aggression towards my Alliance. I have one to two propositions for the MensaHQ.One: A public apology, in detail, to the BRMC, including the MensaHQ members involved, the Head of MensaHQ as certification that such acts will not happen again.Two: To pay Reparations for the losses during the Attacks, not including Infrastructure, military units, or recourse. Plus I legit hope this gets worked out. I've had zero issues with either side and talk to many of them daily. But, I'm not involved. So I'll bow out here, and leave my well wishes. Normally everyday I'm having to clean some poor workers laptop or phone, or do some hardware repairs, something of that sort. Today? Not so much. I had plenty of time at work today to browse around and sit on my rear. Pretty good day right? Well, I hate having idle hands. I must remain busy. So I went out to my car and brought in my own laptop. I owned this laptop for almost 4 years, pretty solid Asus model ( u65e, for the techies wondering ). It's my college/gaming laptop, and I never bothered to clean it. It's a huge mess and, considering it's age, it was about time to find a replacement. Really nice laptop though! I figured I'd take it a part and see what the guts of the thing looked like after all these years. However, Dio had other plans. You see, opening this bad boy up was a pretty drawn out thing. Lots of screws you have to undo in order to take a part the case and get into it. Dio guided me to using YouTube to look up tutorials so I don't make a mistake. I would hate to obliterate the laptop that has years of research papers and games on it! With his advice, I went about each little step, one by one and finally got it pried open with everything pulled out. It was extremely dirty. With a sigh, I cleaned it all out. Yet, I was told to add sand to it. Just put some fresh sand in there. So I did, and after putting it all back together, it worked great! Even booted up faster, the fan didn't make a noise, and it remained cool. Made sitting the laptop on my lap much more tolerable. I thanked Dio for his advice and his guidance. Perhaps that is a issue here, maybe you don't have enough sand in your alliance or your life? Or perhaps you do have sand, but in the wrong places? Whatever the case may be, please seek out Dio properly and he shall guide you to a much more enjoyable life. Just don't turn into a frigid icy person. It makes all of us look a bit trashy arguing on a thread, especially with this post getting constant replies, it will become a "hot" topic and make all involved look bad. Yeah. Real great politics here, man. Nevertheless, here's hoping something gets worked out. I know Fox has been nothing but friendly on the forums and most of my dealings with Mensa have been amicable, with some exceptions.
