Hirohito
As I paid for the Socialist International forum pip, is it possible for Sheepy to keep the money I used to get it uploaded, but have it removed from usage on the forums? I'd even be willing to pay another fee for it's removal, tbh. Grand Moff Hirohito of Dromund Kaas
Skynet
The alliance is currently still active. Unless the current leadership were to approach to moderation team to have another pip uploaded to replace it(to which they'd have to pay) it's not going anywhere. 2 Forum RulesGame RulesToSWikiRedditIRC
Jodo
As Sindorin paid for it, isn't he the owner and therefore has the right of its use? It's a service he paid for. Not his alliance. Just my 2 cents.

You can't donate to the game then want the item removed because you're some other side of the political scene. Donations are final. 1 Forum RulesGame RulesToSWikiRedditIRC
Administrators Alex Posted March 17, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 17, 2015 I'm agreeing with Skynet here: You donated for the pip on the behalf of Socialist International. The pips themselves would be subject to the alliance's control, not to the person who donated for them. If Socialist International would like the pip removed, they can let me know, or if they'd like a different pip they can donate for it, etc. Is there a bug? I just wanted to voice my question before others joined in on the pip change train. Thank you.
luciuskonst
Ah, since you "be willing to pay another fee for it's removal", it's not about the money anymore, you just want to get it down after leaving the SI, as part of your trail of butthurt
Hereno
checking through your bank logs, not including resources or what you paid back to us, you got well over 2 million in free cash during your pretty short stay here. nobody is required to pay any of that back as it's just part of our growth programs, and it is appreciated that you sent some back, and so i'll make you a deal. send the rest of the cash back to the SI bank - including the money i sent you as appreciation for having bought the pip - and i'll personally send sheepy a free pip donation and tell him to keep it the same. Hirohito
I'm the owner. I made it, it's my art. Fox is correct. He owns the image. Grand Moff Hirohito of Dromund Kaas

Dolphman
You made it. It's your art. You're not the owner. You donated it to the Socialist International, and the Socialist International now owns it. I dont think thats how the copyright works here. Fox Fire still owns the image, they could always revoke the implicit permission. Fox Fire has the Ultimate authority over the image. http://www.templetons.com/brad/copymyths.html If PnW does not already have it, make sure you make it so that the pip uploading party signs an agreement saying they made it (or have the expressed rights to use it) and they agree to give you a license to use it. (Doesn't really matter if they break the original only problem, just write the agreement to make it their problem. ie: "Politics and War is not responsible for moderating copyrighted materials, all responsibility for copyright infringement is therefor on the uploading party). Might want to run that through a lawyer though, to get something you actually could use in court (more likely disputing a DMCA request, which Fire Fox has the full legal rights to send). This goes for flags also. (Just in-case GPA is reading this, no, you cannot ban players from using your flags with copyright threats. Like i said, none of this is real, so anybody in PnW can use it or nobody can as long as the game rules allow it.) Edit: Socialist International is also not real and therefor has no legal claim to the pip. They cant own it. At best they could ask Fox Fire's permission (which could be revoked at anytime). NOTE: I am not a lawyer nor do I claim to be one. Edited March 17, 2015 by Dolphman 1 Leader of UPS

Skynet
You're welcome to visit a legal area for the pip. Final say is we're not removing it. /lock. Forum RulesGame RulesToSWikiRedditIRC
