BelgiumFury
In the past few days there have been a bit of Gravedigging. Personally I don't think it is usefull to revive forum threads from more than 3 months ago in 95% of the situations. It increases spam and clutter, and in general doesn't have many good effects. I propose: Lock forum threads (at least on this forum, but it can really be everywhere imho) automatically after 3 months. Give certain people the permission to override the "lock", after which it will be open for another three months again. Personally I would give Wiki mods, Moderators and Admins this ability because they are presumably experienced members who know when it might be right or needed to overwrite a closed forum thread. If it is too difficult to give it to wiki mods, just Moderators and Admins will do. Certain sub forums can also be exempt if that would be seen as usefull for those subforums, but I personally don't know which ones that would be. ~~Belgium Edited June 28, 2021 by BelgiumFury
JadenStar10
Nah, after a forum post gets gravedug it gets locked anyways. If someone really has something to say let em then it gets locked. But in general it isn't useful to let people dig up posts from a year ago, this will also prevent the occasional botspam (recently in this forum a post from 2018 got revived by bot). Prefontaine
Regarding grave digging in the Suggestion/Game Discussion forum I don't want those rules brought to this section (I know you said not all should have the rule). I like having some old ideas get bumped sometimes.
Deborah Kobayashi
Gravedigging a suggestion, instead of making it again, allows you to show precedent in previous support for it, and could easily be the only reason a suggestion is finally seen by alex and taken seriously. Having 12 of the same suggestion with likes spread out is just as spammy, if not more, than gravedigging, and someone that has liked it before might not even open, since they already liked something like it that didn't go anywhere or even may assume that its the same topic they already upvoted.
