As you most likely already know, I was the one who leaked the treaty prior to you posting it. If you're wondering why I did it, I don't actually have anything against SI or EoS; I just happened to have forum access after a month or so of not being in SI and happened to drop by. Once I saw that, timed with the current hostilities, well I just wanted to see what would happen to be honest. If it did actually cause you guys any problems, just know that wasn't my intention, I just wanted to stir the pot a bit.

He is currently an applicant, formerly a member (yesterday before I talked to them), of VoC. Given VoC would have no reason to leak the treaty between their own allies and ourselves onto the forums early, I'm presuming that I'm right in assuming this spy comes from TAC. The leak conveniently came the night after I told Abbas I wouldn't help TAC with their crap, and this PM came the same night that I revealed to Abbas that I knew who the spy was. Moreover, they actually bothered to get a name change on the nation (which is responsible for its new identity; it was formerly known as Eren), and I'm hoping it wasn't the free one but is actually something they paid for. Either way, they know we know, and so there's not much point in not just telling everybody so they can avoid a known spy.

oh come on, stop inferring too much information, no one in our alliance knew about your treaty, no one in our alliance paid for a name change. The fact that I came to you to talk in the first place shows that we had no such intel of the treaty. How in the world is a treaty leak of you with the biggest alliance of the biggest bloc gonna be favorable to us? You are doing too much for your new allies hereno, don't push too hard. Oh not to forget, our so called spy even confessed to it, how convenient? I know the game is filled with newbs but have some respect for intelligence.

You might actually believe this, but if so, it's only because Pub has kept you in the dark.

How did that, or would that, advantage us at all? It looks like you're just trying to discredit our alliance, which is pretty low.

"They're turning kids into slaves just to make cheaper sneakers.

But what's the real cost? ‘Cause the sneakers don't seem that much cheaper.

Why are we still paying so much for sneakers when you got them made by little slave kids?

What are your overheads?"

If I had solid proof one way or the other, this would be a DoW. It is a PSA, plus what I believe to be the most likely story behind it based on the circumstances surrounding the leak. People can read it and take from it what they want.

Similar to leaking old logs to EoS to try and appease them right? Come on Hereno, EoS gets logs, you were in the channel from where the logs came from and you had a treaty in the works with EoS? What you did is no better than what you're saying TAC did.

Hereno, I had no interest in spying on you or your alliance, we went to you for help and told you information that was very sensitive. I can assure you that I had nothing to do with this and we were all caught off guard when the SI/EoS treaty was announced. I understand I was masked incorrectly on your forum but as I said before; I had nothing to gain nor any interest in spying on SI. Also, why would our "spy" go right out and say that it was him?

[17:17:58] <&Ashland> I will give you hops if you say this phrase:

[17:18:13] <&Ashland> "Man, I really wish Rose had allied BoC a couple months ago when we had the chance instead of picking Vanguard."

Well in the timeline Hereno outlined, where he already knew who the spy was, and the spy knew that he knew, the spy would come out and say it was him to try and spin the event in a way more favorable than "I was spying for another alliance."

That's pretty obvious tbh.

So I was right - everybody does know. So then who are you all playing pretend for?

I never asked to be involved in this ridiculous grudge match. I was approached for help by TAC cold turkey - and I told them not to trust me and that it wasn't my business - and then was thrust into a channel and told all of the opsec I could handle. It was two weeks ago, and in the conversation, I flat out told them that I was planning to treaty EoS and had been for some time. I later did do just that and approach Casey about putting our relationship down on paper. And it was for reasons completely independent of this paranoia and bullshit that comes from alpha or beta or whenever it was way too long ago.

All I'd really like is to not be spied on and caught up in other people's dirty laundry, but it seems like the people who had been trusting me all along weren't actually trusting me to begin with. Too much makes too much sense here to me, and honestly, the serious and only reason I posted this thread was to stick it to the !@#$ who leaked my shit and so now they need a hard reroll in order to keep on spying and being shit.

The spy messaged him first though - that's a great way to prevent attention.

the serious and only reason I posted this thread was to stick it to the !@#$ who leaked my !@#$ and so now they need a hard reroll in order to keep on spying and being !@#$.

You know, we've got no doubt that what he did was shit, and that it was terrible. What we're pissed about is implicating us for absolutely no reason other than to push your own agenda, whatever it might be.

The idea that saying to someone "this info is sensitive" means it's now a betrayal if they reveal said info to treaty partners, prospective treaty partners, or just plain friends is laughable. If it's sensitive info, don't reveal it to people you don't have excellent reason to trust absolutely, unless you've got no other choice.

That's just basic opsec.

Keep lying.

<Pubstomper> seriously. I need this to stay confidential.

<Pubstomper> TAC is going to march to war against the PPC next friday.

<Hereno> who is the PPC?

<Pubstomper> Empire of Spades, United Purple Nations, Dutch muhfuhkas

<Hereno> looks like a simple political motivation if you ask me - get rid of the threat

<Hereno> i do like empire of spades, but your secret is safe with me

And it was, until you made yourselves my enemies.

Well if that's the case I'll concede the point. Hereno's post reads like he told Abbas he knew who the spy was, and then he got a message from the spy.

If I was going to spy for other alliances, I would at least make money off of it. I did what I did for the reasons I told you, you had left a non-member masked as a member for a full month. When I came back to PW I went to check on SI, maybe rejoin them after I had made the past mistake of joining Red Guards. Then I realized I had forum access all along, when I saw that you guys had a treaty in the works right before a big war I couldn't help myself. I posted the treaty with full intentions of stirring shit up. Mission accomplished. If you don't want things to get leaked you should at least put in the effort to make sure everyone masked on your forums are actually members.

I am sorry for your trauma, I do believe we have rehabilitation centers. Give that spy my card and make a copy for yourself. Also tell him his services are further needed.

I also would like to know the time stamps of those logs too. I do believe you are trying to win jewish votes by leaking world war 2 intel.
