Once upon a time eight fools with too much time on their hands founded a small alliance called the Seven Kingdoms. They thought it would be a miracle to last ten months. As of today, it has lasted ten years. A decade of nation sims later, it is now time to move on. Politics and War in particular has been a roller coaster for us. We’ve been the elite of the elite, the bottom of the barrel, and everything in between. Through it all we pushed ahead with a song and a scroll and maybe even a leak or three, but now our time here is coming to an end. With many of our members leaving the game to pursue other interests, we are closing this chapter of SK history. As we move on from PW, The Seven Kingdoms will transition into a more general gaming community - the story of SK is still far from over. In-game, the alliance will remain as a closed retirement community protected by TKR, until our last members choose to leave. Those of us who were still interested in PW have found new homes at other alliances, and I wish them the best. Lastly I want to thank TKR for all the help they have given us over the past two years. They have been so much more than just an ally, and many of them have been as important to this community as our own members. To them, to all our members past and present, and to all other allies and enemies who have left their mark on SK over the years - thank you. It’s been fun. What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger. o/ SK

You’ve all left a gigantic footprint in the sands of time in this game. One of the most influential alliances at the beginning of PW, and an invaluable friend to any alliance you befriended, which I've come to know on more than 1 occasion. Thank you for providing me with a home on and off over the last 5 years.

 

First met SK in 2016 as FA gov for Valyria. I introduced myself on your forums innocently signing it off with "Bradley" written in comic sans - to which Gandalf and others ridiculed me. Much has changed since then, but you haven’t changed in your good humour or decency. Your consistency in taking an honest, principled approach to P&W is commendable. And of course your god-awful songs will be missed.

 

Rest easy in retirement, old timers. I look forward to seeing you in other universes.

Thanks to my fellow SK'ers, and the good allies and fun antagonists over the years. You know who you are. You guys made the times fun and worthwhile.

And a special thanks to the other knuckleheads who started this adventure 10 years ago. I never though we'd make it a month. Now I'm never gonna get rid of you. !@#$.

I’d like to thank everyone in SK for my enjoyable time while I was in the alliance. I was only around for just short of a year before I retired but I did enjoy a majority of my time with all of the great people in the alliance. I wish everyone well in their future endeavors and hope that us former members can continue to stay in some contact even if it is not frequent.

Thanks for all the memories, no other alliance I could’ve called home. Greatest community in this game, thanks to those of you who bought a warchest without me having to yell at you a thousand times. And thanks to everyone who helped keep the lights running, from old timers long gone like Cody and Tenages to newcomers like Lynx and Notlaws and to everyone in between. Thanks to every alliance that was ever our ally (which is a lot of them). Onwards to the next adventure.

Farewell Seven Kingdoms.

This was by far the hardest scroll I’ve had to make. It’s been a wild 10 years in this alliance, and while I’m sad to see our time here come to an end, I am happy we lasted this long. Even at our lowest points the community was always active and having fun. Before our recent decision to pull back from PW, very few of our members had ever left for other alliances, a testament to the strong community he built. Unfortunately many, including myself, felt themselves pulled away from PW altogether. 
 

It’s been a true honor playing with everyone over the years. I may have started SK, but it was our members who truly built it into what it is, and I am eternally grateful for that.

I hope we can keep the bad together even as we leave this particular game.

You guys have been so much more than an ally to us too. Looking back, it's crazy to think that we were both a bit apprehensive about each other's alliances/a partnership when we first allied because you became our closest friends. There are not words enough to say everything I want to say so I'll just say that I love you guys so much and I'm glad you'll still be around in some capacity and look forward to continuing adventures with you in this new chapter.
