Statement from The Holy Britannian Empire

 

With Covid-19 now becoming a new threat to global health Britannia has begun their own initiative to combat it before it spreads too much. This comes to the forefront of politics as a handful of workers in the Mt.Fuji district of Britannia have tested positive while spending their time in Rokkenjima. A handful of resolutions have been proposed and have only recently passed approval that will aim to combat the virus, but also protect Britannia and their interests with the healthcare they need.

 

1. Britannia will dispatch a team of doctors and other health-workers to Rokkenjima and Mt.Fuji district to both combat and observe the Virus to hopefully create a cure. Pending approval from Rokkenjima

2. Britannia will be increasing taxes by 1% in order to increase the pay of health-workers who will be working a lot more to combat the virus as well as other precautions that will be put into place to prevent an outbreak.

3. Testing for the virus will now be put into place at all entry points into the country.

4. Intentionally hiding the virus or spreading it will result in a fine and imprisonment

5. Britannian citizens in Rokkenjima will have the option to temporarily reside in the Mt.Fuji district during the outbreak, spots to be pending availability and can't be guaranteed.
