Ohayōgozaimasu! Welcome to the Rokkenjima News Report for April 8, 2020 here on RNN! I'm your host, Clair Vaux Bernardus. We have some important news to share regarding the Coronavirus, so please stay tuned.

As of today, Rokkenjima is reporting its first confirmed cases of COVID-19. Currently, there are fifteen cases of the virus in Beijing, and eight in Shanghai. This news comes despite Rokkenjima's efforts to shut down its borders last month after the People's Republic of China started reporting its first cases, as well as shutting down the city of Wuhan. In a statement issued by the Witch Council earlier today, they suspect Communist China of smuggling infected individuals across the border into these highly populated cites as a form of retaliation against Rokkenjima. Although this hasn't yet been confirmed, the Council has decided to step up military presence on Rokkenjima's border to prevent illegal crossings.

Furthermore, the Witch Council continued on to state that the patients who tested positive in Rokkenjima are all human. It is not yet known if the virus is able to infect other species of people, but the Council has urged all of Rokkenjima's citizens to act with utmost care in these times. Additionally, as the true number of infected persons within Rokkenjima is not yet known, the Council decided to start restricting travel in and out of Beijing and Shanghai, with internal travel also restricted to only essential business. Following in the footsteps of other Asian countries with confirmed cases of COVID-19, only essential businesses will be operating within the two cities until things have cleared up. Residents residing in Beijing and Shanghai have begun questioning why the Council doesn't use Ragnaid to cure those infected, with the Council responding by expressing concern over the possibility that Ragnaid may cause further mutations of the virus, making it more difficult to effectively cure. As of now, research on a possible vaccine still continues with no ETA. Please stay tuned to RNN for updates on COVID-19.

That is all for this episode of the Rokkenjima News Report here on RNN. Until next time, ja ne!

When the seagulls cried, none were left alive.

"If life is a miracle, then death is a certainty."
