I'm your host, Clair Vaux Bernardus. We have some major updates for you today, so let's not waste any time and get right to the news. The Witch Council has announced today that a ceasefire between Rokkenjima and the People's Republic of China will be put in place immediately, following reports that the Chinese city of Wuhan has been shut down due to the outbreak of COVID-19. COVID-19 is a strain of the Coronavirus family of viruses that has not been previously identified in humans. It is unknown how the virus started, but it is known to spread rapidly. Rokkenjima has suspended its campaign in China indefinitely due to the virus, and will be locking down its own borders to prevent COVID-19 from entering the country. The Witch Council has announced that research on a vaccine will begin immediately, as well as an investigation into how the virus originated. As part of the effort to close Rokkenjima's borders, the Witch Council has deemed securing Rokkenjima's territory a top priority. This includes the previously disputed territories of Sakhalin, the Kuril Islands, Japan, and Taiwan. With the apparent collapse of Calondian governance within these territories, the Rokkenjima Armed Forces, with help of General Esdeath's Jaegers, took steps to completely secure them. The Witch Council has declared that Sakhalin, the Kuril Islands, Japan, and Taiwan are completely under Rokkenjiman control, and as such, will be easier to protect from the spread of COVID-19. It should also be noted that representatives from Calondia never arrived at the Rokkenjima Conference last month, which factored into the Council's decision. We at RNN urge the citizens of Rokkenjima to stay safe and healthy, and to tune into RNN for constant updates on COVID-19. That is all for this episode of the Rokkenjima News Report here on RNN. Until next time, ja ne! 1 Quote When the seagulls cried, none were left alive. "If life is a miracle, then death is a certainty."
