Partisan's retching echoed loudly through the chamber; the sound of his heaving magnified by the elegant yet spacious -almost cold- design of the ornamental throne room in which he had been locked as the war raged on. Despite the intensity of the disgusting smell of his vomit, a faint hint of whiskey had managed to penetrate the cloud of digestive fumes. Macallan Sherry Oak. Good stuff.

Keshav raised his nose; "Duck you Partisan, Duck you and your alcohol problem! Now we're stuck here!"

Partisan had been teetering on the edge of insanity for weeks now. Drifting in and out of consciousness, visited by those who had failed before him. Never alone, yet always solitary, he had responded the only way he knew how: Armed with his flask, he had challenged each of his tormentors head on in puzzles, riddles, debates and other such battles of wits until his wit had withered and waned, leaving but the fragmented shards of his humongous, exuberant e-peen as a medium of last resort in staving off the onslaught of mediocrity.

Keegoz looked on from the corner cobweb he had nestled himself in a few days ago. His appearance had confused Partisan; Keegoz was neither retired nor lost to the abyss of deleted and inactive has-beens. He continued to scutter about with some regularity. Partisan had become exhausted of his perennial ankle-biting presence over the years. He had been the first and most persistent curse cast upon Partisan by the Ethereal Abbas. It dawned on Partisan that Keegoz' futile and fleeting existence in the governmental realms of what could only be described as satyrical satellites of Abassid design was akin to purgatory, thus explaining his presence here among the throng of subdued statesmen. 

Rubbing his temples, Partisan muttered: "I digress. Where were we?".

With a high pitched voice, Cumfire continued his monologue on the malice of OWR. Partisan could distinguish the sound of a pigeon defecating in the distance. He lost focus and interrupted the Burger King manager.

"What then is the purpose of all this. What universal application can be given to morality when its conceptual definition is disjointed even within the warped logic of an individual human mind? Righteousness...Righteousness and honour time and time again are crucified on the banners of the opportunistic and the lawless. Their descecrated corpses paraded around as rationality is delegated to playing second violin in an orchestra of hypocrisy. Justice. Justice is an afterthought in the face of political practicality.

Why did I conform?"

"Why did you, Partisan?"

Roquentin smiled at him, his tiny hands tapped rhytmically on the bamboo table between them. Shadows danced across his facial features and his eyes betrayed a devilish amusement. Partisan had lasted long. But he would not last forever.

Vigorous quacking rose up from  the other side of the ornamented door as Partisan fell back into the darkness of his neverending nightmare. The war raged on.

Who can we get to convince me to become a reader. I can't imagine the average member will understand any of this.

I'm an avid reader of fiction. You learn to make up theories for when things are somewhat cryptic. I certainly have some theories, but I think it's best that I keep them to myself.

It's why I'm keeping my views to myself here. I don't know nearly enough concerning Partisan to make a guess that I'd think is educated enough as to what he means. This is very different from the investigations I've done on other matters.

It's pretty unambiguous to me, but then again I've actually lived through the insanity that he's referring to in his story.
