Broken Long Line Nation

If someone were to create a nation that was just an incredibly thin nation that spread across more than 5 continents, how would it affect resource gain? I'm new, so I don't know if anyone has attempted to exploit this.

Sadly the nation size map feature is simply cosmetic. Where you place your nation at first is what continent you solely get, so to summarize where you started is what continent you get.

You can only be officially on one continent (even if some area of your map touches multiple continents) and the chosen continent is determined by the centerpoint of your nation map.

So as not to confuse anyone, if you change your nation's location your continent will be updated depending on where your nation's centerpoint is.
