Christian Democratic Union (in dark blue, with 200 seats): primarily influenced by Christian democracy and liberal conservatism - economically centre-left to right, socially moderate to conservative. The Greens (in green, with 53 seats): primarily influenced by green politics - economically left, socially progressive. Socialist Party of Europe (in red, with 33 seats): primarily influenced by either democratic socialism or communism - economically far left, socially moderate to progressive. European Freedom Party (in brown, with 8 seats): primarily influenced by right-wing populism - economically centre-right to right, ranges from socially conservative to very socially conservative.
