scozy
Hi, There seems to be a bug, either in how food production from farms is calculated, or in my own understanding of the formula. What were you doing (or trying to do): Produce 292 tons of food per turn = 12 farms × (2000 sq mi ÷ 500) × 4 tons × 1.2895 production bonus × 1.2 season bonus × .9836 radiation penalty. What happened (describe thoroughly please): I produce 73.05 tons of food per turn ≈ 12 farms × 4 tons × 1.2895 production bonus × 1.2 season bonus × .9836 radiation penalty? Link to page: https://politicsandwar.com/city/id=411083 Any other relevant information: All 12 farms are in the same city, that city itself is actually 2000 sq mi, and the numbers are gross production Screenshot: (if available)

In your first formula you have (2000 / 500) x 4 ... and as a result you reach a result that is 4x the amount you reach the second time, where you multiply by 4 only once. I hope that makes sense and clears this up! If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask. Quote Is there a bug? Report It | Not understanding game mechanics? The problem was, when I read "Land Area/500 (4.00) tons of food per turn", I thought it meant "Land Area/500 × (4.00) tons of food per turn". I understand now it means "Land Area/500 (i.e. 4.00 in this city) tons of food per turn", right? This is where my extra "× 4" was coming from. All right, so I'll dismantle these farms and rebuild the mines I had before…
