They then traveled by train, car, and foot to Mecca where they then went to a football game and then a party. Within one day, 200 people were infected. Within two, 300. Three, 600. It got out of hand very quick. After 20 days, hundreds of Israelis and Arabs alike were dropping dead due to the virus. The few other species (like witches) from Rokkenjima were, reportedly, unaffected. This is disputed though, as specism is common and encouraged in Israel. Non-humans are rare, shy, and hidden. The Israeli Armed Forces have deployed the IDF Infantry Corps' Medical Sections all around Israel to combat the spread of the virus. Every Duchy is expected to do the same with their militaries. This occurs due to the overwhelmed civilian facilities in Israel, which the whole Kingdom and Commonwealth used to rely on. Israel is the most developed area in the Kingdom of Israel, so notoriously all high priority patients went there. With the spread of the virus for which there is no cure, the under prepared and newly conquered Duchies panicked and sent all patients to Israel. Where they infected more. Israel has always been known for their medical technology and contributions to the world, so all pharmaceutical centers have been instructed to prioritize research on this disease. All commerce, mining, and military training are locked down, and troops still returning from the recent war are made to take residence in local villages. The Royal Family is heavily guarded. Essential services (ones not locked down) are praised for their bravery. Unemployment skyrockets and the economy nosedives. Economical and Hierarchical Triage is implemented, because there simply isn't enough facilities to help all patients. The rich and powerful get care before the poor. Of course, those who can be saved will try to be saved. But if someone is beyond saving they are overdosed on morphine, and put to sleep. All this, plus closing all borders and education about the disease, has slowed the spread and saved many. Instead of almost saving everybody, Israel is saving almost everybody. A good trade off, the government believes. Even if it is exaggerated. The wretched and heretical Japanese nation is immediately blamed for this. Although there are no ties to sever as Israel never had ties with Rokkenjima, This just furthered the public hate for them. The living citizenry are praising the rapid and powerful response to the disease. In the future, every third aircraft passenger's temperature is taken and asked questions about recent travel and illness and all ship passengers will be checked the same way before coming aboard. Non-humans are to be expelled from the country. They have 2 months to leave. The Israeli Government promises to pay for travel expenses.
