Gibraltar: Overseas Territory

With potential threat against British rule over Gibraltar from foreign entities, the citizens of Gibraltar asked the British Monarchy for more aid and Queen Victoria Anderson has decided to secure a foothold around our overseas territory in Gibraltar. To cover the administration cost, four provinces in our French holdings will be dropped from our Kingdom until further notice. With that, Naval defenses will surround the coastline of the four provinces surrounding Gibraltar to contain the threat of a naval invasion, and increased military presence in the area. Radar will be constructed throughout the coastline and communications will be closely watched to keep. Travel will be restricted to only allies of the United Kingdom to Gibraltar and citizens of the United Kingdom.

It wasnt difficult to locate and identify targets for harrassment by intelligence agents, the perfect target pure spanish below the age of 30. They would be identified on social media and then tracked until the perfect scene would be created.

It took no less than 3 ideal candidates in the space of the actors selected, to ensure at least two recorded the engagement. There would be Anglo English speakers harrassing a native Spanish citizen within corporate territory as close to the new border as possible to ensure they were not corporate citizens. Propaganda was fairly easy, a few selected camera angles and the right cut of film and suddenly an innocent interaction could be taken as a national incident.

Trickling the data into foreign internet's would be the next step, using personal cell phones from those in corporate held Spain without any political ties, idealists were easy to locate on social media and simply create the event in their nearspace, nature takes its course. Combined with the company's shotgun of information being forced upon their new citizens it was an overwhelming time to live in southern Spain.

The real propaganda would come later, the company having the next several days of media planned for maximum effect while the two expansionists vyed for Spain.

"Today, we are announcing the inclusion of the Spanish territory into the Gibraltar House Rule bill, creating a Special Administrative Zone. The following will go into effect immediately:

• Gibraltar Representatives will educate the citizens who are now within this Administrative Zones.
• The House Rule bill ensures autonomy within the special administrative zone.
• The Gibraltar Charter will be enforced within the newly acquired lands, with every right granted to the Spanish citizens being integrated 
• New elections for the United Kingdom of Parliament will be held, with the Spanish born citizens electing their own representatives to the UK parliament.

With that, a border wall will be constructed to separate UK-MagCorp borders. All communications between the United Kingdom and her Overseas Territories and MagCorp will be blocked from within these territories, and sale to and from will be outlawed until relations cool. We also want to ensure the Spanish people that the United Kingdom has no intentions to expand more into Spain, and the need to expand the lands surrounding Gibraltar was solely defensive in nature to ensure a rogue corporation does not interfere with Gibraltar's right to trade and safety."

Regular fighter patrols began to encircle the new neighbor. Actually blocking communication would be difficult with mobile corporate radio emitters traveling within a mile of the border and overwhelming Gibraltar stations, the same was possible for television stations as well that used over the air transmission. Manipulation of foreign opinions would be a matter of using their own words against them.

"Our company provides a better life for an entire continent, perhaps the rogue elements are those those who wish to exert their influence over foreign soil under the guise of using us as a boogey man. Such criminal slander could be expected from imperialists expanding outside their sphere of influence but it isn't a concern to us. The corporation's support of an entire continent goes well beyond the selfish desires of the British."

The company's navy would begin to observe the coming and going, nothing would be stopped for now but military vessels would find themselves shadowed regularly by non-existent drones and ships until they removed themselves from the Mediterranean.

With the growing hostility between both the UK and Mog[Corp] this has by extension caught the eye of the Britannian Empire. While Britannia has no outstanding quarrel with Mog[Corp] the possibility of war in the region would no doubt be the powder-keg to another great war. Not fully committing to the idea of war just yet, Britannia would dispatch their capital ship and 2 corvettes to pass near Gibraltar as a sign of unity with the UK before turning back to guard Homeland Britannia. A message would also be put out to both leaders of their respective countries.

The company would have a Corvette shadow the opposing fleet from the canary islands until the enemy fleet left the Mediterranean. The vessel would end it's patrol by sending a lengthy chittering message once they departed. The company deployed regular drones that currently did not exist due to strange realities which if need be would be replaced with a single fighter. This allowed for regular flybys with pairs of fighter jets to afford a counter show of force. They were in the company's homelands and demonstration of that was the obvious play. The corporation would respond to any hails with the typical mechanical chittering, the language incomprehensible to the fleshed. The public statement would be responded to quickly. 

"MoG[Corp] has not expanded outside of it's own sphere of influence, should the UK decide to negotiate that would be their choice, we shall not allow expansion within our backyard without reprisals. It would be naive to allow foreign nations to dictate our way of life. MoG[Corp] will discuss peace as it's first option but that will never be the only choice we have. Our society only survives by ensuring a lasting solution.

You will be represented within Gibraltar's Parliament and a special ruling allows you to have representatives within our Parliament as well. Your needs will be taken, and any hate crimes against the Spanish will be punished harshly. The British government does not accept any behaviour that disrupts your personal liberties and rights. As such, the Parliament and the Queen have signed a law that shall fully fund Gibraltar's Universal healthcare systems, fund small businesses and infrastructure.
