Dear Alex,

Your post on Monokuma's post about Robot Santa seems to fly in the face of your own posted rules. It is, in black and white, written that both the accuser and the accused may post on the post and no other. This, I feel, is healthy if a bit shouty. It allows you to come into point and counterpoint (until such point at as it becomes 'but *I* think' countered by 'but *I* think")! You need to be able to hear not only the rebuttal to the accusation, but why the accuser calls bullshit. And, yes, I get wanting to protect your mods. They are hard to come by - especially ones that will stick around. Robot Santa, for all their other good, DID go beyond RAW (rules as written) in this case. You removed Blut's warning point but you said nothing of his ten day ban. Is that also lifted? Moderator discretion can be a good thing, but tossing RS a 'dude, really?' message is not out of line here.

Please do update the written forum rules to reflect these changes and please do treat the parties involved as they should have been under the rules at that point written.

The Forum Rules include a clause for moderator discretion.

Moderator discretion applies to all moderator actions. In the instance you're referencing (which you can go back and look at yourself) things got completely off-topic and unrelated to the report. Ergo, it was discussion in a no-discussion forum.

While yes, if the person is the accuser or the accused they're allowed to post in the thread, that does not mean they're allowed to completely derail it and break other forum rules. For example, just because you make a report thread and you're allowed to post in it does not mean you can break the other forum rules posting in that thread (i.e. posting pornography or some other rule-breaking content. You wouldn't get away with it just because you are allowed to post in that thread.)

In my opinion, the warning was justified, but the reasoning was incorrect - the warning should have been for something more akin to Topic Hijacking than posting in a No-Discussion subforum. Regardless, the warning point was removed upon my review (and the automatic suspension that was applied was removed) so I don't see what the issue is here. A mistake was made, and it was quickly corrected.

I’ve been warned & suspended for no discussion in threads made by Blut with frivolous reports against me. That was never removed. Same with warn & suspension for responding to thread by Joi with frivolous stuff.

So unless he removes for me non-discussion warns for threads made on me, seems like special treatment.
