In the interests of full disclosure and fair play, I'm asking that we list all wars that have been affected by naval glitching here. These nations may or may not have self-reported.

This case is unusual because it involves things not visible from MAP counting. The reporter in the other thread (Lord of the Flies) claims that there were 2 maps visible 1 hour after the last strike. It's possibly a false alarm.

He was lying, trying to add on to the other glitches. He was actually just losing and whining about it.

-Deulos, do you understand what the definition of a glitch is, and how it differs from an exploit?

 

-Both glitches and exploits are results of the English word bug, for when a computer program does something that is not intended. The difference between a glitch and an exploit is, when your computer spontaneously crashes, that's a glitch. When bad coding gets your computer hacked, that's an exploit, i.e, an exploit is using a glitch with intent to cause harm or gain unfair advantage.


-The use of "glitch" refers to the fact that under Alex's rubric, he doesn't see reason to believe T$ has been involved in deliberately exploiting the 0 MAP bug, and will probably revert all incidences of 0 MAP bugs at a later date.

 

-If this was reports of "exploits", this would have gone into the Game Reports section.

 

-Here, I am merely increasing the documentation available so that players are aware of incidents of such glitches to reduce the drama associated with this "glitch", to ensure that if someone actually decides to exploit this glitch deliberately, the frequency of use results in them getting caught, and to discourage players from exploiting this glitch.

Yeah, I won't pretend to have a ton of knowledge about the subject at hand, but as best as I can tell, 12 is the cap, so to perform 3 naval attacks in a row would put you at 0, and they had 2 approximately an hour later.

 

2 attacks at 12:02, and 1 at 12:04. My guess is they started with 10 MAP, the first attack "doubled" so to speak because of the server lag, using only 4 MAP and then they did the 3rd, which used another 4, bringing them to 2.

Just took a look at it and it's not an example of this glitch. Note the time of the forth attack was at 4:26 pm, so actually 16 hours after the other hits, not 4.

10/03/2019 12:14 am: time of Dec, 6 MAP on both sides (Umbara is Tactician).

10/03/2019 04:06 am: Umbara starts with 8 MAP (+2 turns), launches two naval attacks, ends up with 0 MAP.

10/04/2019 12:02 am: Umbara should have 10 MAP right now (+10 turns). He launches 2 naval attacks, and ends up with 2 MAP.

10/04/2019 12:04 am: Umbara should have 2 MAP right now, and launches another naval attack. Evidently, he should have had 2 MAP before the attack initiated.

 

Of course, I'm not checking Mesothelioma's MAP on this war, so if you can point out to him or her being involved in glitching, be my guest.

Understood. Honestly the problem in the past was that I thought it just didn't go through I didn't realise it was a legit problem.
