@Alex can we have a [Micro] tag for micro alliance announcements?

That would require a robust definition of what "micro" is, and also that doesn't match the other tags which are based on the type of announcement, not who's announcing it. I don't think this is a good idea.

If you’re serious about making the forums easier to navigate we should really have another forum area for alliances 40 and below. Perhaps it could be the average rank over last six months to account for war. The vast majority of alliance affairs is micro fluff, except for war. This would keep alliance affairs more “pure” but still give smaller nations a place to post.

More forum areas does not make it easier to navigate lol

Making a micro affairs similar to National Affairs essentially segregates them off, and the main players can ignore the spam.

Or...  hear me out...  mods can regulate certain sections better if spam is the issue.

We have a constant problem with people derailing micro threads with what is and is not relevant, it discourages people from posting. This isn't their fault or the new leader's fault.

Having a separate forum would solve the problem and allow those interested in lower tier politics to enjoy it without so many unnecessary comments. And those new leaders will be more accustomed to formal posting and discussion without the negativity. :p we all have to start somewhere, better that place is hospitable rather than throwing them into the shark tank.

And if you were familiar with what that term actually meant, you'd realize that doesn't actually help his case but in fact makes it so much worse.

This is probably the best argument I've heard for separating the two.

What will most likely happen is that it'd add another dead subforum to the boards.  People who clamor for the addition of it will soon turn around and ask for it's removal because it's simply adding another space that isn't used very often.

Why?  People want to be noticed.  They'll use the big boy section, this space.

Plus I'm not quite sure why people are concerned about spam nowadays.  This section is pretty much inactive in comparison to the General boards.  Just look at the most recent topics here, and browse through the replies.

You separate it and you'll just have 2 dead boards pretty much.

tbh this would be a solid idea if they were clearly labeled. Micro announcements receive a ton of hate and that probably gives a poor impression of the community to new players.

Micros experience plenty of turnover [coups, cancellations, raids etc.], most of which they propagate on Discord news services. I have no doubt that if a micro-sub forum was created it'd outshine all the others in activity, whether we like it or not. @Hippo-chan.

The reason why they don't use the main one is because the only things we consider acceptable here are treaties-wars. Not petty disputes, which as we all know are far more entertaining. ;P Why not risk a dead subforum for say 3 months, if the possible reward is some new life here.

Not championing your cause, simply because it's not just your cause.

Are you also still an anthropologist while running a experiment in this game too?
