At late hours, a ship currently in the function of a scouting-patrol vessel for the current time has encountered strange showings. Because of the limited gear, they have for long-range vision - as partways, the budget was cut to focus on other domestic effort and production of better equipment for the navy. As now they would move slowly to gain a better insight into the unknown structure.  They reported to the flagship TPS October, which responded in requesting special operatives and the SAS in case of escalation. The response of the flagship to Corbyngrad was a result because of reports of enthusiasts who reported sights and attempted attacks, which cannot be confirmed nor denied, by large lizard creatures. It seems that it might be an outpost, and so the smaller ship has attempted to step into contact with it, most importantly a signification of presence by a flare and using a large lamp to send a code in morse code to the outpost

The reply came in morse code as well, since the research labs had a book on it for emergency communications:

Very well. Follow the spotlight indicators to landing zone. Beware, it may not appear like it with the fog shrouded coast, but many eyes are on you. Do not take soft comforts in your flagship, we have methods of aquatic warfare you may not be accustomed to and are ready to defend ourselves if you choose to be aggressive.

I actually had some issues w the forums loading on chrome, while everything else worked fine and dandy - also the "advanced issues" thing is probably Grammarly which hooks up hiddenly as I select and c/p

The vessel released a small boat with five officials on them, including two higher officials of the TPS (The People's Ship) October traveling to the desired location, while TPS October and the Flagship TPS Solidarity arrived close enough to be visible by the eye. The mentioned guns are held in their holsters, depending on the person if is right or left-handed but most of the passengers were righthanded. They come close to the shore and await the arrival of the Lizard-men to know how the meeting will continue.

A single entity walked from out of the fog and driving snow.. Its eyes glowed with unearthly bio-luminescence that heavily resembled the glow of Uranium Glass in the dark. The slit eyes fell upon the crew making land fall. It stood upright, had wings, tail, claws sharp as knives, horns curled back over its head. It appeared snow white and glistened like ice. If it were not for the eyes it'd have been easy to have lost it in the snow had it been trying to hide. No garments adorned the creature which was covered head to foot in tiled, plate-like, scale in a diamond pattern. It appeared to hold no weapons other than those given its body.

"Welcome. I am Maelstrom. I lead the people of this land. Warm bloods who aren't explorers braving the Antarctic during its winter... you must have wanted to meet us very badly. All the same.. what are your names? Whom do I have the.. presumed.. pleasure.. of speaking to?" It took a relaxed stance, leaning back faintly on its tail for support. This was spoken in fluent English.

The group all dressed in various patterns of black and dark red now disembarked and hands off of their weapons greeted the foreign creature, an out of the world creature, the person of highest rank spoke

"We are members of TPS October, a ship part of a carrier group which was heading towards the Falklands and then to Australia to perform an inspection of former commonwealth nations on their security and we encountered an outpost of your men as we went more south, it was a spontaneous meeting. Our ship is a part of the military of the British Internationale, could we speak somewhere in behind walls and with a roof over? A military tent is more than acceptable. We could set up a communication line between the central committee of the Internationale at Corbyngrad and with this outpost and later your capital."

"Follow me.." He disappeared into the fog.. as they came out of the fog they went into a valley.. and realized they had been using fog machines on the coast.. the fog was not natural but being induced by boiling water.

The creatures were everywhere, of every color of the rainbow and the drab. Some wore added armor, others those pieces of equipment specific to their tasks. The armor was very rudimentary, not speaking to any especially advanced military technology. Truth is, they had much better some held arms similar in make to the ballistic weapons carried by their guests. As they rounded the corner.. they came to an ice cavern. However, it was unnaturally formed, shaped in to a perfect arc, they were lead into the igloo like apparatus. Inside were tables and chairs.. designed to be used by beings like their guests or the dragonisians themselves. Among the dragons were also a number of other races. Humanoids with pointed ears, tusks, cat folk... it looked like some warped variant of skyrim had invaded reality. The equipment they had was made to serve all these races where possible, but some objects were custom fit, the armor notably.

A mendelbrot fractal pattern was engraved into the ice for decoration of the walls. It caused subdued rainbows where the light passed through the ice sheets. He gestured towards the table as he stood at the end, "Please be seated then if you will. You said.. British.. Internationale? Can we get you some tea?" Which begged the question, what did these newcomers know of their world.. and how?

The corporate flagship would send an open burst in Morse. Afterwards immediately jamming began to an extent the various species began to react negatively, animals of the ocean not a fan of active radar spam to confuse opposing radar, while being able to track to an extent it made it difficult to actually mount an opposition, various spectrum would be flashed constantly from certain vessels to remove any optic intelligence, there was no expectations of Maelstrom being an unreasonable judgement of the corporate motivations on the planet, and a proponent of long term rules based society the company wished to see control the shared planet.

The southern lands were not the company's concern, and it was expected that there could be an acceptable resolution to all concerns, new neighbors were welcomed first, how interaction went from there was always subject to change.

The Dragonisians saw no trace of the radar jamming. They had abandoned use of Radar and optical tracking a long time ago. Instead a very precise array was detecting the flagship by its mass, gravitational displacement, and its impression in the fabric of space/time.  That said, it was un-aware of the attempted jamming. They found out long ago.. there's one thing you cannot hide or escape.. your gravity.

The dragonisian navy began entering the waters.. Known as leviathans, the great sea serpents and their armaments had to come through a portal built upon a dock and fall into the bay.

A Gravometric sensing report was filed with the Naval office indicating the possible presence of a warship mass dispersion signature at a distance from shore; located at the point of origin of the morse broadcast as detected by 3 point radio broadcast telemetry as is used by the primitive communications systems on the planet.

Merfolk citizens began to set up kelp and algae farms on the bottom of the waterways and seas near the continent.. reprocessing facilities and pipelines would be set up along the coast to turn the resulting product into fuel and food.

The added visitors meant nothing to the fleet as it had approached, active ping spam gave away location freely to an extent, it was a matter of enforcing a boundary of opposition. A jet would eventually arrive containing the CEO and the entourage, all unarmed for the most part. Several would not be able to pass a metal detector but that was not expected to be an issue.

The sailors would follow the unspecified creature and after their arrival and settlement in a safer area away from the water they re-introduced themselves and explained again on how they got there afterwards followed questions on the origin, reason and other of the Dragons in this realm, with one specific question, why Antartica.

The radio chatter was “prof” to the Dragon Alliance that the dragons of Antarctica where dangerous, and had to be contained at all costs. In wake of this diplomatic nightmare between to superpowers, the alliance decided to mobilize a small navy force to spy on the Dragons and there guests. An accidental run in with the mog(Corp) main fleet was nerve racking, but the small fleet didn’t leave. The fleet stayed only 1 kL from the coast of Antarctica, knowing that a fight might brake out. The LPS luckie watched for signals of any sort, while its main guns pointed towards the alien harbor. On the ship, 17 year old Fama Ming looked at the small fleet in disgust. His father was the constitutional emperor of the Xibei San ma, a position he would one day be in. He was pro dragon, he liked the fact that life outside earth existed. He never wanted this and asked his father many times to do something, but his father would always say “I am a figurehead, I have no power in this nation, you will one day understand.” He hated democracy, and wanted a government where the emperor made decisions and had power. The only reason he came was to try and make peace with the Dragons, but the captain had locked him in the brig. He wanted to get out, so he got on a small radio in his room and sent a message out-

“Fleet on the coast of Antarctica, prepare for a fight. I’m the son of on of the leaders, willing to make peace.”

the radio men on the bridge heard the message first, and told the captain. Fama would be court marshaled when they got back to Argentina, till then he would stay in the brig.

   The fleet got into battle formation, aiming all guns at the coast, yet not firing. They would only shoot if the Dragons became hostile. A message was sent out to all available ships in the area to head 3 kL from the Antarctic coast and stop any ship, or mer folk from leaving that area.

Antarctica was on quarantine. And the Dragon Alliance was on death-con 3.

@Xibei National Counsel
There was no, "Fleet" in the traditional sense to be seen.. the coastal fog kept the harbor obscured and all sonars would detect is ocean life.. some of it very bizarre. Merfolk were the same rough shape (oblong noodly bodies with some fins) as dolphins, and even swam in the same manner.  That said, they weren't going far from the coast, but not because they could not or would be detected, merely, that's the best place to farm the kelp and algae. There were no "ships" to be seen to be stopped.

A return radio response, "Make peace? We were not aware we were at war. Are we at war?" Came the inquiry from the shore line.

@Mogar
The corporate representatives were welcomed in like manner to the group from the British Internationale. They were gathered to the same conference center with the other visitors.

@Rimski
The answers came one at a time... and would be given as the corporations' representatives arrived.

"Origin: 'We are from parallel universes to your own.'"

"Reason: 'We are explorers, seeking new, safe places to reside. Your world seemed like a nice one which was having trouble developing its 7th continent.'"

"Why Antarctica?: 'Our primary ruling class are known as Arctic Storm Dragons in your world's vocabulary. In our reality they have naturally attuned to this environment and we have naturally adapted to live in the cold. We may operate here unimpeded. We can develop this continent fully and see our presence as win to ourselves and current occupants of this planet. Imagine the cost reduction to goods coming out of Antarctica when you don't have to pay for extremely expensive environmental controls and put lives at risk. We also expected minimal protest.'"

The drone smiled, then looked up to the corporate crew that arrived and inquired, "Ah, new guests. Who do you represent?"

"As for the scientists that worked the stations here. They are welcome to remain and continue their work and we'll turn their bases into official embassies.. or we may return them home, your discretion as to how we handle any crews related to your states." The drone stood relaxed, but attentive with his talon-ed claws clasped behind his back.

A message was sent from the Falkland military facility.

”we are sorry for the inconvenience. Our leaders are paranoid, we are not at war.”

then, a message was sent from the lps luckie.

”Dragons of the South, your nation has been quarantined on behalf of the human race. Surrender your fleet now.”

the luckie had no idea that the station had sent a message, so the captain thought it was the best course of action. The station then sent a message to command for next actions. The luckie sent a message to rest of the fleet to advance inland, without instruction. This would ether be nothing, or war.

A message was sent to the fleet from the station,

 “DO NOT GO TOWARDS THE DOCKS, ARE YOU CRAZY!?”

then a message was sent to Antarctica.

”please ignore the advancing fleet, we are dealing with the situation, sorry.”

Maelstrom was.. if anything.. bemused.. he half wondered if the ships would ground themselves on the shoreline forcing the Dragonisians to salvage them. There was no reply from the continent, just silence and patient observation.

A message was sent to Antarctica from the Falkland base-

“we are doing everything we can to stop the fleet”

what the Dragons didn’t know, and what terrified the alliance, was a bomb. The bomb, code named Keizerreich, was one of two prototype thermo nuclear weapons developed by Brazil. The weapon is 25 megatons, and could vaporize any life on a 10 mile area. The bomb was a force to be reckoned with, and was therefore kept on the battleship LPS Chile, which was part of the small fleet.

The captain of the LPS Luckie decided to send a scout team to shore and to set up a makeshift base.

The Dragon Alliance desperately tried to contact the fleet, but all messages were ignored. another message was then sent tho the Dragons-

“do NOT shoot at the small battleship in the fleet, you will probably regret it.”

they also stated why they where in defcon 3. It wasn’t because of Fama, but because of the fleet.

The CEO would look over the being, "I presume you are not quite the same as I last remembered you. I am the leader of MoG[Corp], a corporation that has established security and access to the stars for those who choose to exist upon this planet.

If calculations are correct you represent an old friend from another world. We were allies and enemies both depending on the instance, and regardless of how this world will play out I hope we can establish a sense of order and balance to provide for a fruitful society, as well as mutually beneficial trade agreements."

A hologram would come from a cell phone style device showing the elevators which the company had eliminated several rivals governments to create.

"I have fought several wars to bring about a planet which could exist freely in space, as I suspect you have figured out by now based off the satellites launched into space recently. My only conditions to any agreements to be made is to preserve space from militarization against planetary territories. There is plenty else to concern ourselves with than potential destruction of our home.

There is much potential in your lands and we would be happy to learn more about how you came to be on this planet, as well as how we can work together to create a better planet."

The military movements were taken as unusual by the the corporate fleet and an open message was sent to the dragon alliance flotilla.

A line of stealthy missile boats designed primarily to serve as a base of operations for drones to observe the dragon alliance fleet began to set out from the largest vessels, uncertain of what they planned on doing next.

"Invasion of a polar desert is likely one of the most difficult battleplans possible, I could not think of a harder battleground against an opponent of unknown capacities, bringing a diplomatic party would be advised rather than occupying a wasteland."

The Dragonisians took no action to impede the fleet's navigation. Though the coastline was being evacuated for concerns over its behavior. A message was sent to the Dragon Alliance fleet warning they were getting dangerously close to reefs, rocks, and ice sheets of the Antarctic coast and providing safe navigation routes away from the coastline.

@Mogar

"I am your friend from the other worlds, yes. But I have undergone a few evolutionary steps since our last encounter. You know I am a world conqueror, however you also know that I tend only to conquer worlds where the occupants are flippant idiots. You are not a flippant idiot. You have no concerns with our presence. We will be happy to trade with you. We will help you protect this planet and ensure its productivity as well." He seemed momentarily distracted.

"The fleet on course to our coast has a vessel with a device on board with a high quantity of fissile material. It appears your co-occupants of this current geo-political environment are not as concerned with protecting this planet as you are. Do you know what detonating a 25 mT yield warhead will do to the antarctic ice shelves?..... I don't think you want to find out. You better find a means of stopping those ships. We're just going to to vacate away from the area as we anticipate this will cause the saboteurs much more harm than it will us. Especially given the tidal wave it's likely to generate and the large coastal ranges of Dragon Alliance states." How was he aware what was on board their ships?

"Given some Dragonisians feed on radiation... this isn't likely to cause us substantial impairment, but it may cause significant harm to the party that appears intent on using the weapon without us even lifting a finger."

"We do not represent anyone, officially, we are members of the people's navy of the British Internationale, this was the first encounter between our two states, we can report back to our home on if you want an official meeting between the two states, as we do not hold any power of decisions of our state as we are just sailors and not any representatives, except in a bad light as any crimes by us would be attributed to the state, do you have any questions for us humans, tovarisch?"

"Not so much questions as requests. I would appreciate if you would put in a request for a meeting with your governors, after all I am in control now of the southern continent and formal relations would prevent any accidental conflict. Also, if you have any scientists among the teams that were at the southern pole, you are free to take them home with you as well as any delegates willing to go by way of you back to their home nations near yours. We are not risking transit to your respective nations until we can document the procedures your governments use to regulate transportation in order to limit accidents. Please have your transportation ministers contact ours so they can compare notes and trade information on proper peaceful transit methods. We have no desire to step on anyone's toes. Do you have any questions for us, tovarisch? I doubt you'll have an opportunity to ask questions regarding an event like this again."

"Not entirely a surprise, nukes have always tended to be the threat against anything that seemed unusual."

Targeting had always begun on priority targets and even with the potential fallout corporate fleets began to move to be able to deploy countermeasures if needed, but it was unexpected that there was a threat beyond the new visitors quite yet, and they were of more concern than the civilian parties that had begun to spring up upon the planet.

"Regardless of their own interests, I am attempting to allow a diplomatic resolution before responding with other means and am unconcerned with the potential issues with their radical options."

Turning to the other guests, "I can ensure that the British representatives are able to speak freely, any misunderstandings can be discussed in the fun with their government if required, let me worry about your leaders comrades, I can help make sure we all get along for the immediate, it isn't every day you get to meet visitors from other worlds after all."

A dramatic shift of fleet posture began, no quarter was given to anything else that was in the area. Anything that came within 500 nautical miles of the Impossible Conceded would be given a 30 second limit to begin leaving the area.

"The important step is making sure we can all agree on certain physics limitations for planetary conflicts. Outside of that I make no agreements quite yet."
